Curious in curling, do some countries have a slight advantage in strategy when speaking their country’s native language. Players are not quite about call out their plans and strategies. Chances are most of these curlers speak their native language and English. And the chances of the American curlers knowing more than English is possible, but how fluent in what. And this goes for 2 non English countries go head to head.

I would say no. Sure each team discusses each shot before it’s taken. If there are future strategy discussions, those happen with two players standing by the scoreboard as the other team discusses or throws. On top of it, there’s only so many things that can happen one throw at a time. It’s not like you’re going to surprise attack another team by putting stones on the other side of the rings or something. These teams have played so much together that they’re pretty much on the same page all the time.
A couple commentators have made it sound like it just doesn’t matter. A team may not speak the same language the other does, but “they all understand broom”, as one guy put it.

And that's even with Canada picking up 12 or so SOG in the 2nd, with the US only getting about the same.

I would have guessed that the US would draw Slovakia in the quarters and Sweden in the semi's, so all that really changed was the order in which they play.
kind of crazy bracket it ends up being where i'd almost rather be Slovakia or Finland than Canada or the US (especially) for your presumed 2nd round matchup.

You had me confused because I haven't seen Sweden play at all during the Olympics, so I thought I missed something. That's about it. Having brunch at a local bar, maybe half a dozen people on the rail (3 in the group I was in) and we were all commenting on the US-Sweden match being replayed on tv, armchair-quarterbacking it, and for the most part WE were spot on with the strategies with the throws, and we're nobodies. 
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

Can’t say I’m surprised Sweden scored. I don’t know why whoever was on the ice for Team USA just 20 seconds prior didn’t skate it deep and try to soak up some time.
