i mean we did also lose to alaska at home in a recent year where we still made it to the Frozen Four, but tough look to drop your home opener after getting worked by MSU in an exhibition last weekend
I’m not seeing anything from Tech that leads me to believe they’re amazing, but they are very poised under pressure. Something that I’d bet comes from being old as dirt and playing a ton of games in Canadian leagues.
DUHluth loses to Augustana in OT. Wonder how Bulldog Puck Live is taking this loss.. 🤣 🤣

St. Cloud has only 8 returning players from last year's team. They came a post away from winning tonight.
What? A team with a new coach and a whole bunch of new players lost by one goal? Well, I see they’ve lost two games in a row. They should just hang it up. Their season is over!
"Mayich attorney: ASU hockey coach replaced phone after workout, hasn’t ‘done anything right’"
I mean, nothing was done appropriately from the get go. Replacing a phone or not, it’s clear now that regard for basic human necessities took a second place to male ego. I hope the coaching staff is kicked to the curb and never allowed to be in a leadership position again. I feel bad for every kid on that team that had to not only endure that workout, but feel the fear of retaliation for speaking the truth and standing up for a teammate.
When do we stop realizing that sports augment our lives, and can still be recognized as something that is done for fun and to enhance the human experience but does not necessarily need to define our existence?

That's pretty much what I'm getting at here. It's like they're going out of their way to screw up at every possible opportunity. Starting the day of the practice, they've focused on the wrong thing at every step.
Duluth is coming off a OTL and tie to Augustana so that should make for an interesting upcoming weekend.
A disappointing weekend to say the least absent the reigning Hobey winner in the lineup. Hopefully he’s back for the Gopher series. Still, it should be an exciting weekend for both teams.

He definitely wont be back for the Gophers series. Hearing he’ll be lucky to be back by their Ireland trip over Thanksgiving.
This past weekend Wisconsin played very well as Minnesota State did not. MSU did play better on Saturday even though the scoreboard doesn't reflect that. They were in fact missing Murr and several others. Mason Kraft was the best new player on the ice for the Mavs.
I am theofficial Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
Seems like a perfect fit. The coach that inspired fans giving the one-finger salute to players on the ice going to the program that gives the one-finger salute to its own players off the ice.
will be interesting to see what the public details on the deal look like given I can't imagine Hak wanting to stay there long-term and avoid jumping to the NHL again.

They better hope he’s not too good or else he’ll transfer here

Short conversation I've had with him, he is right where he wants to be.

I believe you said the same thing about Evan Murr. 🙂
ASU, AKA “The Gang That Can’t Shoot Straight”, continues on its amazing run of poor decisions.

Stupid stupid cheap play. I've always wondered, do the other, hockey-only conferences at least hand out actual (>1game) suspensions? Unlike B1G's lazy half-ass discipline for its men's hockey teams, I mean.

HE (Boisvert and whoever he fought both got 2 games last year) and ECAC both do sometime midweek. It feels like he should miss a series
In my state of sadness, I skipped the games of interest last week. some interesting ones coming up this week (outside of the good guys playing the Dawgs)
SCSU @ BC. BC lost to Alaska last week while SCSU split at home with Tech. Will learn a lot more about both teams and will carry some water in the NCHC vs HE battle for conference slotting
Omaha @ Augie. Augie with a great series at UMD, but have also had some big let downs historically. Omaha is expected to be bad, but overhauled the roster so we'll see how it plays out
CC @ Uconn. CC swept Umass in a surprise to a lot of people. Is this the year they finally break the streak and get back in the NCAA tourney?
ND @ WMU (home and home). big chance for ND to make some noise for themselves and the B10
Michigan @ DU. big implications for the postseason early and we'll get an idea of just how "legit" michigan's blowouts to this point are. DU usually plays more track meet style early in the year, so these could be super fun/entertaining games minimal people will see because it's on altitude
