Iowa football received their final penalty ruling from the NCAA for recruiting tampering in 2022 in regards to Cade McNamara. Coach Ferentz already served his suspension for the violations but the program received their penalties today. Iowa has to vacate four wins from the 2023 season, pay $25k in fines, one year probation, and have some recruiting restrictions placed on them.

Most likely: (a) the timekeeper running the displayed clock jumped early, and/or (b) the display rounded down too aggressively. It instantly ticked down from 9 to 8, faster than 10 one-tenths of a second would actually take to elapse.
