True but it wasn’t really the same as OSU buying a bunch of NFL receivers, Indiana was more about developing good 3 and occasional 4 star recruits. Miami arguably had more star power.

I do have to give the SEC credit they are a top 10 conference. There are 10 conferences in the FBS and one of them the Pac 12 had only two teams in the conference this season. The Pac 12 is adding a bunch of teams for next season.
Never thought I’d see my Hoosiers win a college football national title in my lifetime. Indiana has accumulated 5% of the program’s wins ofer the last two seasons. Indiana football has been around since 1887.

Indiana's operating budget and NIL budget skyrocketed the past 2 seasons. Not taking anyway away from Cignetti, but they don't get the NC without that.

You put out winning results and you’ll see the same. Fans who might’ve seen the inside of Memorial Stadium in Bloomington (IN) never to maybe once or twice. Are now on the wagon. You even see it with the Gophers, especially hockey.

NDSU would have been favored against every single team in the Mountain West on neutral field last year lol. Definitely not a doormat of the conference. The championships are definitely in the rear view, though.
Time will tell when NDSU actually has to play a FBS schedule week and week out. Getting hyped for one FBS game a year is a cakewalk to 10 plus FBS games regardless of conference a year.

My bad, with all the changes, I didn’t realize that Boise, SDSU, Utah State, Colorado State and Fresno were already bouncing to the PAC12. With all those teams out, NDSU stands a better chance. The Mountain West minus all the teams above, is better than the Summit League. Still like the see how NDSU holds up with a FBS schedule every weekend.
