In his two seasons as head coach Michigan lost 5 games and at least 3 games maybe a 4th in the bowl game against Texas (Michigan is a 6.5 underdog). If he was winning more games do they still fire him or do they look the other way?
If what is being reported is true he obviously didn't react well to being fired/exposed.

Though Moore is an idiot, just like Bobby Petrino at Arkansas. Fired in 2012 in for an affair with a staff member. 13 years later he’s coaching again at Arkansas. Time we’ll tell if Moore lands back on his feet or if he’s a door to door encyclopedia salesmen.
The first round of college football playoff games are this weekend. Games are split between ESPN and TNT. A quick google shows that TNT paid ESPN $100M per year to broadcast two games. This year they get the 17 point spread Tulane at Ole Miss and the 21 point spread James Madison at Oregon. That’s a hefty price for games that audiences will tune out after the first quarter if they tune in at all.
Not trying to sound like a homer, but Tulane/Ole Miss is at 2:30 (TNT) and Montana/Montana State is at 3pm on ABC. Personally I think Tulane will give Ole Miss a game (way more than James Madison/Oregon).Though if the Tulane/Ole Miss game gets at all out of hand, especially starting 30 minutes before MT/MSU. The Brawl of the Wild Part 2 might be the game to watch.
I think this game has the potential of being the best bowl game and probably better than the first round CFP games. If Notre Shame didn’t act like 3rd graders and home to mommy, BYU/Notre Dame would’ve been the game to watch.

And, I'd guess it's close to 50/50 nationally as to who people that pay attention are cheering for. Mostly though, nationally, the reaction will be "The WHAT bowl? Why would I watch that?" (Admittedly, the same reaction is likely to be had for the Rate Bowl as well)

Same thing when any combination of North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Michigan play each other in hockey. There is no “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” with any of them. They’re just the enemy.
Certainly contributed. But the fact that in 1995-96 there were 18 total bowl games, and this year (including playoff games) there are 70 is really what took away the shine.
To add to your post from yesterday. Not only did TNT pay for 2 smallest drawCFP games. I just noticed the James Madison/Oregon (6:30) game has to compete with Bears/Packers (7:20) Saturday night.

Hand up, a few years ago I went up to Amsoil with a Bulldog friend of mine and they were playing NoDak. Because of who they were playing and being a good friend I pulled for the Dogs (really more just cheered against the Sioux). But the Dogs didn’t even win so it wasn’t worth it and I felt very unclean afterwards. But otherwise, yeah, Duluth would fall into that category. Going to college during the mid-2010s and having multiple Duluth friends go on and on about Sandelin and the Dogs, then mocking everything about Gopher hockey during that era, and then immediately forgetting that the Bulldogs even existed when they had a couple of bad years kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean it’s a rivalry so they’re more than welcome to talk crap but that then definitely puts them up there with the likes of UND, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

There is also an Eagles and Washington game that kicks off near halftime of the Tulane/Ole Miss. There will be a lot of people that turn away and don’t come back.
Plus, if you do, you don’t put yourself in situations. I’m not trying to be on a soapbox, but since getting married 5 years ago. I’ve done lots of things in my social life and even on social media to not get close to putting myself in sticky situations.

Despite being one the biggest anti Iowa fans around. This still brings joy to my heart. My college buddy’s son. Smiling and being free from oxygen tubing 24/7 since birth. His dbl lung transplant went beyond successful. He has had several biopsies and no signs of rejection. He was released from the hospital the weekend before Thanksgiving. Seeing pictures on fb of him doing things that he couldn’t ever do before makes your heart smile and a tear to your eye. Playing in snowing, wrestling around with his dad, being able to run… it’s amazing. Plus the Iowa football team has been some of his biggest supporters. Players messaging and keeping in contact with him!!!
