Knowing the Twins and past practices at Target Field, they’ll wait until after gates are open and around 7:45 call tonight’s game. I can’t count how many times since Target Field opened, it was very clear the game wasn’t happening cause of rain. And the Twins would wait well after the gates opened and what was supposed to be first pitch to call the game.
We had tickets a couple years ago to a Cubs game at Wrigley and Chicago set a record for most rain in a day and somehow the rain stopped and the game was played in full.So will the Twins Cleveland series be a complete series rained out?

The game was delayed quite a while and I was pissed they dragged out what seemed to be the inevitable cancellation. But I’ll be damned, they played.
Can they play a triple header tomorrow? End of yesterdays game then today’s and tomorrow’s game?

the guardians have to be in Detroit fior their next series so the most they would play on Wednesday would be the one game plus the partial. They’d make up the scratched game tonight in a doubleheader in September when they come back here. That’s what I understand anyway.

Even with winning one of the games today, the stupid late inning struggles against Cleveland continue.
I’m sure they’d never come out and say it, but the Twins have to be privately concerned about Royce Lewis. Batting.141 this year, not to mention his horrible 2nd half last season.
Twins were down 6-3 in the ninth with 2 outs, get 3 to tie it and then 6 in the 10th and win 12-6! Of course I fell asleep at 6-3. A more normal game time tonight not the 9:00.

Funny the announcer says probably some teenage kid playing a joke. They do cook food at ballparks so there’s that so I didn’t know at first what to think of his comment other than ok possibly a kid but come on it could be anything dude.😁

Wallner gets doubled up at 2nd, then later thrown out by 3 feet at home in extra innings. They could’ve had bases loaded and no outs. He hit the two run homer earlier so he washed his own hands there. His base running was costly to the team but if he was waved home on the throw out that’s not all on him and the plow he dragged either. Tough loss.

Anything with a pitchers shoulder isn’t good, this isn’t what the starting rotation needed. My guess is if they’re in the post season hunt he’ll come back for the push otherwise it’s possible he gets shut down if games are meaningless because it’s not worth the possible set back. Just my thought anyway.

there is a couple reasons that I think I know. One there’s more outs than hits in a game especially on the first base side of the field. It’s less energy spent to be on that side. Another thing is something about target fields layout being safer on that side, something to do with the netting or whatever. I don’t know for sure what is exactly different. Another thought that comes to mind is where the sun is and if the figured that into the time of year for hot afternoon games and if they are better shaded then maybe?

I blame Rocco for this and that but not the overall collapse or for the hand he was dealt before the season even started plus like you mentioned injuries to stud players. I throw an occasional f bomb his way with his pitching staff in game management more than anything with him but he’s managing a team that’s had him walking on egg shells since the opener so I think he does the best he can with what he has to this point.

If/when the Twins are sold, then yes, Rocco is probably gone. And I am not saying Rocco doesn't make mistakes, but he has been handcuffed a bit.

Talking about the shaded side, @handyman might know this. Why is Gopher Football on the shaded side compared to the visitors on the sunny. Especially in late October and November it’s definitely warmer on the visitors sideline and stands. I know the visitors tunnel is on that side. Though it’s far enough down the side to interfere with with the Gophers being on that side.
