Moe at wing and Humphreys at center is interesting, unless I missed some offseason chatter.

Pain, suffering even

Moe at wing yes. Humphreys one of the rumored centers as he had in the past. Think it’s going to be a bit of a blender to figure out who is playing center. I’ve got faith in Cullen knowing who’s got it

The top line looks really good to me. It should be right up there with the Plante line this year.
Go Gophers!
Let's go Gophers!!!!!!!
Here's to a much different season this year!
Ice conditions delay

This is doing nothing to soothe my anxiety
Countdown back on. 13 min to drop supposedly
Would Tom Reid’s have the game on?
Reporting live from Houghton, the pregame clock stopped again at 6:30, and the refs just left the ice.
Countdown stopped at the arena again and the refs just left the ice.
The previously announced 7:37et start isn't going to happen.
Wally and Pat mentioned that the clock has stopped again. On the up side, this gives folks who are rushing home from work some more time.

Swapping the nets out. The ice looks bad
Now they've brought the practice nets back onto the ice....
Guessing it's going to be a while before they play.
Warmup at 7pm and ice to be evaluated. With how slow the set has been, idk if we’re playing tonight
8 pm warmup. Then reevaluate.
There is still water on the ice 40-50 minutes later.

Water, ridges and ruts. Something is very off with the ice for sure
38 on the clock
At this point, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if this game were to be postponed until Sunday and play the season opener tomorrow.

Unless you made the trip up there and have to back on Sunday night...

I agree with this and I’m sitting in the rink. Safety of the players far more important
Too bad there aren’t any engineers in Houghton who could help.

Wow Tech will do anything to try to slow down the Gophers elite team speed.
You would think an engineering school would know how to make ice.
No wonder Dylan Larkin wants to leave the state of Michigan.
😀

I was thinking more from a competitive standpoint, but if it does get that far, hopefully it get rescheduled early enough for roadtrippers.

They’re gouging the ice just doing skate arounds. This ice is Brie.

It's about a 7 hour trip, including a meal break and a pit-stop or two, and not including slow traffic in the Cities from about 4-7pm Sunday, due to all the returning vacationers.

Being a civil engineer who has designed roadways for years I had A LOT of "questions" 🤨 when I visited the state of Michigan both the UP and the mitten.

Lmao
It’s looking mildly better. Air feels cooler too.
optimistic maybe
Countdown on the scoreboard would put the start time at 8:30 et.
For whatever that's worth.
@the-rube I did drive through the Yooper Loop intersection the person/people I was road tripping with mentioned it while I was driving through it. At the time I was like what is this? 🤣
Cancelled
Canclled
307 Sunday
Game cancelled.
Rescheduled for Sunday at 3:07et
Tomorrow's game moved to 4:07et
407 tomorrow
Just play a double header tomorrow. 😆 Baseball players do it and hockey fans always want to brag about how tough hockey players are. 😉
The ice isn't that tough, though, apparently.

Minnesota road trippers can you please spend the rest of the night teaching the Techies how to make ice? Apparently, it will take awhile for them to get this complicated concept. 😉
When is the last time this happened lol. I think this is a first for me
Apparently when scheduling non conference opponents we need to ask do you have ice? 😆
Hey State of Michigan you want to know why you aren't the State of Hockey? Having ice is required.
Minnesota student section - "We have ice yes we do", We have ice how about you?" 😉
JC I finally get GPL to work for me again (after months of issues) and THIS is what I come back to? 🤬.
Go Gophers!
Dorothy: Who’s that?
Scarecrow: A man with an axe and a can of lube. I’ll ask if he wants to join us.
I was thinking throughout the evening that their rink staff did seem to need an extra week to get the ice ready. Now they have the rest of tonight and tomorrow morning to fix whatever the issue(s) is.
Anyway, back to touching up the wall paint for me.
