That sounds vaguely familiar. I do have one story. One of the few times I went to the post season banquet was Scott’s senior year. As @xyz noted above Scott’s 
career was kind of up and down. His skating held him back a bit at the collegiate level. He was strong on his skates but his point “A” to point “B” speed wasn’t great. As noted above he came on and had a great senior season. Anyway, getting back to the banquet (at Jax Cafe if I recall correctly) all the seniors spoke and then Wooger spoke after each speech. After several flowery speeches about how much their Gopher careers meant to them, Scott kind of lit into the staff for basically giving up on him and how hard he worked (by himself) to have the season he did. Doug, to his credit, said every word Scott said was true. The room got pretty quiet at first, but Scott and Doug both got good applause. It was an interesting evening.

Amanda and Phil Kessel grew up together in Madison, Wis., and both played college hockey for the Gophers before going on to impressive pro careers.
Now the siblings will go into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame together.
The Kessels will join another Madison native, former Wild defenseman Ryan Suter, in the Class of 2026, which also includes Warroad’s T.J. Oshie and longtime athletic trainer Stan Wong.
Induction ceremonies will be Nov. 30 in Washington, D.C. The Hall of Fame is in Eveleth, Minn.
Amanda Kessel, 35, is a three-time Olympian, winning a gold medal in 2018. She was a three-time national champion with the Gophers, and won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2013 after scoring 46 goals and 101 points in 37 games.
In addition to playing in seven world championships (winning four golds and three silvers) she had a pro hockey career before the PWHL was formed. She’s now a manager of minor league operations for the Penguins.
Phil Kessel, 38, won three Stanley Cups and holds the NHL record for consecutive games played (1,064). He had 413 goals over 17 NHL seasons after being drafted No. 5 overall by Boston in 2006, and won the Bill Masterton Award in his rookie season after overcoming testicular cancer.
He was the WCHA rookie of the year in his lone season with the Gophers, and played on two U.S. Olympic teams, winning silver in 2010. Phil Kessel won Cups with Pittsburgh (2016, 2017) and Vegas (2023).

Should be hosting induction ceremonies in Eveleth, not Washington DC. At worst it should at least be in the Cities if they can't make Eveleth work due to logistical/travel stuff

Bjuggy will miss 4 to 6 months after surgery. You would think his career is about over.
