I’d guess that “home” gets to pick their uniform first, then “away” gets to pick an appropriate kit in light of the home team’s choice. Home teams might also be able to veto away uniform choices that are too similar in appearance, idk.
If anything the refs would veto jerseys that are too close and yeah, typically the home team chooses what they wear in every league I can think of.

I was informed jersey pairings were predetermined before the tourney by the IIHF.
I don’t know how or why they make their decisions, but my guess is it is based on the colors/patterns of the jerseys.
I also don’t know if the whole potential tourney pairings are preset, or just the prelims and then they go from there. 🤷♀️

Yesterday’s Farmington/St. Louis Park.. both teams are orange, black and white. Both teams had orange breezers.

Stating the obvious here but tonight feels like the night when we really find out what this USA team is all about. No disrespect to our prior opponents but this Sweden team looks stacked. Going to be a tough test but a good match up and a fun game for sure!

Nick Kempf (Notre Dame) played game 2 against Switzerland 2-1 win
Brady Knowling (17 years old is a BU recruit) played first two periods against Sweden

These two announcers are NHL Network are absolutely BRUTAL. I rarely (if ever) comment on the announcers. It’s a tough job and easy to criticize. However, these two are mute worthy

They carried play in the first ten minutes of the game but Sweden got a lucky bounce to get the first goal. Instead of defending harder after that, it seemed like the US kept pressing on offense.
They gave up 5 goals against Slovakia and 6 tonight. That kind of defense doesn't win tournaments.

I'm not entirely certain merely "surprised" goes far enough here. I'd be closer to "stunned" or "shocked" Are they all going to be at any specific game? Probably not. Are all 32 teams interested in at least one player here (whether they've already drafted, are looking to draft, or evaluate who someone else drafted for a potential trade)? Absolutely, they ALL have interest in these players. I would be surprised if there wasn’t one or two scouts for each NHL teams in town this week.
I would be surprised, unless you are in the know (and I’m not), people can pick out most the scouts. Some stick out and they are sometimes in a group. And there are those you see at the high school and college games all the time.
