I don't even know what to expect. I just want to see good hockey.
ND takes a ton of penalties and plays physical so another learning opportunity for our young team.
Just want to see some progress of putting multiple shifts in a row together and into periods. they're so far out of sorts right now hard to know what to expect. hopefully some good news on the health front comes in as well.
I just want to see some cohesiveness in the team. Ironically, on my trip back up to Minnesota this past week I saw less of the than I usually do while down here in Florida. For the record, I’m aware that they were in Wisconsin this past weekend. The Saturday game against Duluth was fun to be at just because I haven’t been to Mariucci much in the past couple of years but not fun to watch them get swept. But one of the things that was the most frustrating and discouraging to watch was just how much they looked like a bunch of individuals out on the ice together than an actual team. I don’t know if it was a lack of communication or confidence or both but half of the time they looked like they weren’t sure of who was supposed to go in hard on the forecheck and who was supposed to hang back on the offensive blue line. They threw pucks around with seemingly zero direction. Not just on the PK but even strength as well opposing players were constantly not getting picked up. Just stuff that’s pretty rudimentary has actually seemed to get worse as the season has gone on. The second game against BC and Saturday night against UND feel like a lifetime ago. I would say that this weekend is an opportunity to get right but now I’m more concerned about just getting points off of ND. Even with the low expectations going into this year I never thought I’d say I was just hoping to get some points off of a lack luster Fighting Irish team at home.

That seems the most likely cause, yes. Also, that's how I tracked down the name as well through HCSO records.

Agreed with above. Glad the (presumed) culprit has been apprehended and will have their day in court.

Ziemer last year scored 12 goals on 89 shots on goal (13.5 %). Going into tonight he had 4 goals on 30 shots on goal (13.3 %) so basically each season it is one goal per 7.5 shots on goal. In the first period tonight he had 6 shots on goal so this clearly means he is going to score on one of his next two shots on goal.

I was driving home from a family dinner and heard the boys on the radio give out a little statistical nugget. This is the first year since 1963 that the team has had to replace the top 5 scorers from the previous year. That is a pretty crazy stat.

The Gophers seem to be all playing together from the same game plan tonight. There is a nice flow to the Gophers game. Very positive step.
They should be up by several more right now. This one feels like it’s going to stressful down to the wire for a game they really deserve with how they’ve played so far and need for some confidence
