Yup. A pretty clear "Fire Motzko" chant before the end of the 2nd period from them, and then they bolted. There were probably like 50 students there in the 3rd period.

It would be the exact same way if you asked any NHL player if they had autobids. You'd still see the Canucks saying we're planning on winning the conference tourney.

There’s certainly a middle ground between “we’ve already booked our spring break flights” on one hand and “we’re going to beat the best team in the country twice this weekend and go on to win the national championship” on the other. Cal Thomas was also interviewed in that midweek presser and gave a much more measured and levelheaded response saying basically the team is sticking together, they’re taking it one game at a time, and they know what’s at stake. That’s really all you can or have to say when you’re in the Gophers current situation. I even said in my original post that I appreciated the confidence and I’m glad no one has given up. I wish the team with last year’s roster would have had the same attitude. Probably would have gotten some hardware out of the postseason. But that aside, if you’re going to talk that talk then good for you but then you can’t go out and lose 7-1. If it would have been a competitive loss in overtime I would have been more gracious but 7-1 on home ice when you’re only goal is a third period garbage time goal is not championship material. If you’re going to burn the boats you have to make sure to get out and hit the beach. Not stay in and go up in flames with the boat.

i'm more just saying, you can't fault a D1 athlete for being confident. This team, delusionally, has always said they believe in themselves and is probably part of why you see them still blocking shots down by 5 and staying together when they easily could've quit on each other and Bob.
They're just not very good but I expect they're going to battle and they're all thinking they're going to win tonight and do it for the seniors on senior night (I expect MSU to beat us as they have a hell of a lot to play for in clinching the 1 overall). The group has stayed close which I appreciate. I have no issue with Leo expressing that they still are going into every game thinking they're going to win. Senior comments are always going to be different/more guarded as they know the end is here.

Pending what he decides (I guess with coyle, but think more from Bob if i'm being honest), it feels more and more like he's looking at how specific guys are playing and expressing some (hard to find the right word) disgust maybe with how guys are playing/approaching games. Which he should be, more just a little more blunt than I've seen him sound rather than the excuses he has thrown out before.

Most likely. I was not at last night's game but there have been a growing number of boos for Bob during team intros as the season progressed.
