You, you did.
Did I hear the crowd booing Motzko during the player/coach introductions? (I think so.)
been going on for months. Guessing it will be louder tonight as will the fire motzko chants
great way to inspire confidence in your team to boo before the puck even drops
Agree, gotta be a real pick me up.🙄 then again if everyone is in this thing on the bench together and are 100% coach committed it could work as a save the coaches’ job incentive. I donno still think not good imo. Shouldn’t have to battle your home crowd noise plus your opponent.
“Good pace, a lot of north and south, or it could be east and west, I’m not sure but either way…” Wooger

the game didn’t start yet. It’s about the negative vibe created in the building during intro’s. It’s not helping them before they even hop over the boards for their first shift.

Most likely. I was not at last night's game but there have been a growing number of boos for Bob during team intros as the season progressed.
I was there and yes, there were boos again.
I'm so completely disconnected as a fan that I forgot to even check the score last night after returning home from the high school tournament.
I'm at the point where I'm pitying Motzo and maybe other fans are feeling this way, too. I won't boo the coach (or the team). He's been a solid recruiter his entire career and left his mark on the program. His tragic personal back story could have used a little cheer in '23 when he had arguably the best team in Gophers' history. But it didn't happen. That's not the way the universe works...#Canada
The only way back for him is an instant, near-miracle turnaround for next year, and I wouldn't have the first notion of how he could pull that off. I doubt it's even possible. The sun is setting on his career, and a coaching change now seems inevitable.
I know this won't happen but why not hire your new HC as the main assistant and announce 26-27 is Bob's last year? He has done a very good job (up until this year) and feel he deserves some credit and respect for that. Again, won't happen in our world today but would be nice from a human standpoint. Hey, is John Hill still availble?

I wish a coaching change was inevitable because at least it would mean an immediate and drastic shakeup and hopefully return to national prominence rather than another year+ of this.
Unfortunately I suspect the U will just stay the course, our athletic dept is very conservative and I do think Bob’s track record has likely earned him the right to exit on his own terms
Not sure it would matter, especially with our D and what’s coming in, unless they find some high end talent, would they look into moving on from Miller?

yes, and to me there’s a difference between feeling this way and booing Bob on home ice especially during introductions. There’s a line and it’s called human respect.

I agree, I’m always very disappointed by the booing and the comments on all Gopher hockey social media posts turning into a cesspool of “Fire Bob!” I suspect a lot of those people didn’t play any sports at a high level, because they don’t understand how slim the margins can be, nor what it takes to compete consistently

Yes, it’s been a bad enough season as it is. I don’t see any reason to load that sort of a lasting memory with this senior class who’ve lived through enough season ending disappointment on the ice. Hats off to this class, my heart goes out to them.

They should probably eliminate the “nice tie a**hole” when the opposing coach is introduced then. It’s booing coming from students. Who cares.

That last part is what I can’t stand. No way has Bob earned Jerry York-like cache to go out when he wants. If he’s not the guy for the job, then beat it.
As others have said I can’t see Coyle canning him so it’s gonna be on Bob to do what’s right. I just hope he realizes what the program really needs.
Personally I will miss Brody Lamb a lot. Fellow Rochester-area boy, wears 17 like I did growing up, plays a Swiss Army knife type of game and responsible defensively at RW/C like I always tried to be as well, and his dad was actually my offseason skating coach all through high school. Very easy kid to root for.

The difference is that with visiting teams it goes with the territory and they’ve all seen and heard it. When it comes from your own to your own you can’t tell me that’s the same especially when there’s a tension/hot seat involved. It’s embarrassing as a gopher fan, and for what it’s worth I cringe a little when they say that to their coach but again it’s probably nothing new to them and probably find it creative and laughable.

Lamb also missing from the line chart. Injured? I stopped watching last night after the 2nd period.
He took a puck to the knee late in the game.

ah missed that. he also took that stupid cross check late so hopefully just precautionary but the kid absolutely deserves some applause for battling this year And his whole career
Yeah I personally wouldn't boo the coach but I get why it's happening, mistakes were made before this season and the results and booing follow. It's not great and kinda embarrassing but it's one way to send a message to the AD I guess.I'm so completely disconnected as a fan that I forgot to even check the score last night after returning home from the high school tournament.

Well that’s one way to get the team to play hard in front of him. This will either look genius or idiotic in a few hours. Man it sucks that Lamb has to miss senior night but I get it. Need him for the playoffs.
A win for Wiese over the #1 team in the country would be a helluva story!
Feel bad for Lamb missing senior night. He's been a trooper.
The booing of Bob and the fire Bob chants are bush league. I feel it is probably time for him to step down but the guy has meant a hell of a lot to this program. He has represented the school and team with class and deserves more respect than that IMO.
Is it spring break?
Woo hoo! Zeimer!
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
I swear, this team is allergic to successfully exiting their own zone.
Edit: Nevermind lol
My god Ziemer is such a damn good scorer
Sigh LDP
Picked a good time to switch from the Tonka-Rosemount 2nd period, it’s been a barn burner over there in St Paul. Second I tuned in Ziemer scored.
Stramel has always been a dirty pathetic Gopher reject x2
JFC.

lol
Gruba keeps proving me wrong for standing up for him. What happened there? Far cry from his USHL DPOY days.

That team was just really good front to back
Sigh Hendy
How? HOW!? How are we this bad?
Hell yeah Hendy!!
How? HOW!? How are we this bad?
there are about 6 guys who need to not play.
Hendy scores. Moore draws a penalty. chance to tie
Ridiculous call and what the hell are they even staring at in the booth. That’s not a penalty!!
if that’s head contact every single faceoff battle should result in a call. Blind ass zebras, the high school tourney refs do a much better job than B1G clowns
Pretty textbook interference on Hendrickson that goes uncalled right in front of the ref. MSU is always pulling that crap
29-13 on faceoffs, in favor of Sparty. Gross.

We want Moe!!! Slick

Been a consistent problem for years and is a major problem when you’re this slow
Ludtke hurt by Stramel check. Cool
Man, Stramel is a real piece.
Michigan State finally called for their 3rd penalty committed in ot
I know it’s OT but we’re not going to call anything?
…about time
