Tired of the excuses, Halloween, Thursday games, hate the B1G, traffic, Wild are playing, etc. You can't tell me that the 5000 no shows all have kids that are trick or treating. Show up and support this team. Embarrassing.
You do realize people are people right, and that this isn't everyone's entire lives...?
Also, the other "excuse" is: put a better product on the ice. Sorry, but if you're getting smacked around like that for over a year, people aren't going to show up either. Why would I expect people to spend their hard earned money when they have been one of the worst teams in the country?
OK, I won't argue anymore after this--I just had to point out that your argument is ridiculous.
I get it that people have lives, but the Gophers had ONE (historic) bad year, and the fans bail on them? Fans wanted a change, yet are not going to support the change? I call that fair weather fans. I guess we each have different expectations of our fan base, which is ok.

So the guy that blindly supported Motzko while he tried to run the program into the ground is now mad that fans didn’t show up to a Halloween game against a bad Penn State team?
Sounds to me like the definition of you reap what you sow.
Not everyone plans theirs lives around gopher hockey.
So it is ok for fans to only support the program if they win? You just made my point.
It’s a pro sports town. I attend all the home games because the gophers are my passion. Not the same for others. Get used to it. Winning solves things for the “normal” fan.
Don’t wanna rehash the eternal attendance debate, lord knows that dead horse has been beaten senseless here. I just don’t get the hair pulling over a game on Halloween night, like of course it’s gonna be a lighter crowd it’s just the demographic.

I agree. We each have our opinions. Let's move on.
