On their first goal, our goalie was off his angle, but Rud got beat because he was coasting and then got beat. That goal was 100% preventable.
Sharks at least have the clarity of knowing they're a meat-and-potatos team. It's the only way they know how to play and play it hard. This Gophers team is confused and think they're a skill team.
Losing to a bunch of picked-over Canadians would be a fitting chapter for this bunch.

The talent is there. We're missing the glue. There is a gap or loss in leadership somewhere. You can see it in their play.
Every game feels like the first time the players have ever met each other. No cohesion at all. No feel for the other players on the ice. Nothing that feels planned.
To call that on Hendrickson after letting Muller’s antics go unpunished is absurd. Nothing ever changes with the horrendous officiating. Taking Pritchard too? Fkin ridiculous.
Compare to the NCHC where their refs actually support them in out of conference games…

I don’t even know what to say anymore. I don’t know if I’m upset, in shock, or just sad. I really don’t care if this is was always going to be a rebuilding year, I don’t care if this was basically LIU’s national championship game and they were always going to be a tough out, and I really don’t care if they had a hot goalie. What happened tonight was unacceptable. But the worst part? We’ve all already commented about how “this game was unacceptable or that roster decision was unacceptable” multiple times this year and yet we just had to sit through that garbage. The unacceptable seems to have become acceptable this season. Something is seriously wrong with this Gopher team. I don’t exactly know what it is but there is certainly a disconnect in the locker room.

This is a much worse feeling than what Badgers fans must’ve felt like during that 5-0/8-0 weekend we put up at Mariucci a few years back.
LIU was not a good team and they didn’t play well- they were horrifically sloppy with the puck and their coverage all 60min. They were botching passes you expect a Bantam team to make easily. So all that being said, this is a really pathetic loss. I guess if they somehow sweep (or even a strong split) PSU next weekend I’d feel a lot better about this season

I think the freshmen on this team had to be great for this team to be good. They haven't been. None of the freshmen, including Mooney, have been great. In fact, they're not even average.
