Congrats to Rud on his first goal --- he may not have the most storied career in Minnesota hockey history, but clearly this guy WANTS to be a Gopher. Now, he'll have a story for the rest of his life. Very happy for him.
Not a big fan of taunting, but when Susie's involved, I'll make an exception. Congrats to LJ for the sweater pop, Cooley is probably smiling someplace.
Not pretty, but the guys battled and hung in there. Lots of work to do to get better but I feel so much better with a split than I would have being swept.
Was it me, or did it seem like UND packed it in after going down 3-1 and was happy to get a split?
Curious to get thoughts on who is Goalie #1 coming out of this weekend.
YOU GUYS ARE ALL WRONG. LIKE I SAID, GET OFF MY LAWN.
😆
Respectfully sir, this is a public park! 🤣YOU GUYS ARE ALL WRONG. LIKE I SAID, GET OFF MY LAWN.

The #1 is whoever’s hot. Start Luca on Friday.
If there’s one thing this team has been lacking the last few weeks, it’s confidence and swagger. Pop those jerseys whenever you can against the puke.
The whioux try to play a similar game as us. Always want to carry the puck into the zone and get flustered when it doesn’t work. We still need to figure out our D against a team who is willing to throw it down low and out work us.
I was pleasantly surprised the announcers weren’t full on homers. They were knowledgeable about where our players came from and how they’ve done in their careers. It wasn’t two straight games of a whioux love fest, which was nice for a change.
Loving the Orr-esque photo of Lamber's goal on the main page.
@snowcool08 UND has an excellent broadcast. Always a pleasure to watch. I wish some of the Big 10 schools (looking at you, Michigan) would take notes.
The way Friday ended, I thought Saturday was going to be a blowout for UND. Honestly, I think everyone thought that as there wasn't a lot of electricity in the air at puck drop Saturday.
Walked around downtown all day Saturday with Gopher gear on, only one comment from UND fans, and it was a weak one. Walked into the Brick where Schmaltz and Ausmus were broadcasting, there wasn't a single Gopher fan in there. No sh*t talk from anyone. Get to the rink, not a single word from UND fans. I was expecting to have a bit of back of forth...there was nothing.
The game itself Saturday? Fairly boring. Perhaps that's what this team needs. I didn't feel like UND really had a single grade A, just a solid structured team defensive game all night.
Thought Mooney was great too...live, his skating is truly awesome. Hopefully this is a springboard for more.
Met Jupiter at the hotel Saturday morning too boot...

So that was you huh? Nice to meet you! Sorry I was in a rush to get to a breakfast meetup with some old friends.
What was with the Bemidji gear Mr. Five?

Had to rock the Beavers sweatshirt Friday night to support my buddies kid (Former Sioux Captain Mitch Vig, son Max plays for BSU). Drove from Bemidji back to GF after Beavers/Dogs. Boss and I went for a morning walk Saturday, I just didn't wanna get the Gophers gear all greasy for the day, lol.
I'll get to wear it Thanksgiving weekend when the Beavers play at the Ralph, hopefully walking out of there with another W.

They don't have anybody to cover them until Randy is done with football.
Even then with the new print deadlines coming up with the move to the des Moines printing plant it will basically be online only.
I don’t have a digital subscription or get the paper delivered. But with that said, regarding the print edition, with most dinosaurs who get the print edition delivered residing in the TC Metro area, how can it make any logistical sense PRINTING the papers in Des Moines? It perhaps must be a new state of the art plant, but it pushes back their submission deadlines by 4 hours + having to truck the papers to TC Metro? Just goes to show they don’t give a rip about the print editions anymore from a timeliness of information standpoint (not that they ever really have during the past 20 years) lolThe Star Tribune has no articles about the Gopher Men's hockey games this weekend?

As a guess? They print papers in Des Moines for much of Iowa, Minneapolis, maybe into Nebraska/Illinois/WisconSIN/Missouri/etc. A somewhat centralized location that they print for multiple cities on a single press setup.I don’t have a digital subscription or get the paper delivered. I'll say, Wisconsin's B1G+ production has improved a lot- compared to where it was a few years ago, i.e. atrocious. In particular, the super nasally announcer duo calling their home games used to have literally zero puck knowledge. Now, they're sort-of tolerable for one weekend a year, maybe even slightly charming in a pity sort of sense.
Contrast w/ Ohio State, who seems content with their all-round terrible hockey product(s). Their announcers seem to be googling how hockey is played on the fly, and they don't check audio levels. That massive empty barn is just depressing to look at. And the handful of mouthbreather OSU hockey fans they do get, all seem to spend the entire game pounding on the glass like walruses at SeaWorld. It baffles me how the OSU B1G+ crew hasn't noticed the constant, stupid glass-pounding. Maybe the wildly unbalanced audio covers it up, or maybe Value City just doesn't want to kick out 1% of its attendance.
