Penn state is terrible. Gophs looked absolutely awful in the 3rd. A loss was inevitable as the game went on. So frustrating
Can’t piss away valuable NPI points like that. So frustrating.

This team is absolutely going to have multiple of those this year. There’s too many young guys and new faces not to mention we’re down one of our emotional leaders in Whipple.
they do need to win tomorrow. Felt had to be better than a split this weekend to keep making up ground. Still on the table.
Strahl tomorrow? Luca obviously wasn’t bad, but did he do enough to disrupt a rotation?
My opinion is that he didn’t. Especially given how Strahl closed that game last Friday.
You just knew not extending the lead was gonna come back to bite them in the ass. The whole game felt scripted from the drop of the puck.

100% play strahl. LDP was good but I think strahl has higher upside and he earned it too. Continue to show guys get rewarded for performing (and sat for not)
for what it’s worth, xG finished 3.5-2.5 mn. And doesn’t count all the damn shots we didn’t take and inflates PSUs shoot from everywhere mentality
we only got 4 shots on goal on 4 power plays which is completely unacceptable when you’re 0/4
The PP cost them this game more than anything, the entries were bad but even when they had possession the slightest bit of pressure often resulted in a flubbed pass. Like the one where Ziemer was pressured near the boards and just threw it across the zone to nobody. That's just one example but there was a lot of that and just over passing as well. I get that Fleming was good and they prob got frustrated or lost confidence in shooting it but they need to just figure out how to get traffic and fire shots through it and crash the net when that's the case. I get on the PP you want to create good looks and not take bad shots that clear the zone but there was a clear lack of direction or strategy too.
