This is why we don’t trust AI. My search had that start as 1-3 (1-2 to start with a split and UND and loss versus NE which is way wrong).
Heard on the radio: the last time the Gophers were down 7-1 against Duluth, they came back and won 10-7..... I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse.

True. They almost are there, they just need to improve on offense, on defense, on the power play, on the penalty kill, on odd man rushes, on the breakout, on the face off, on penalties, and on coaching. But then I pity the team that has to play us

What an absolute embarrassment. Ziemer no show. Mooney game changing penalty. He should have been sat for the rest of the game for taking that.
IDK what else to say other than this team has given me no reason thus far to think their peak is anything beyond a mediocre team. I'm not horribly shocked by this, part of my expectation for this team being potentially good was LDP playing well and he was bad today (fine against Tech but nothing amazing). Mooney was out the first two games and ultimately a negative today (IDK if that penalty should've been anything more than a 2 but whatever, the team was as bad as last year on the PK). Turn those two things around and this team could be not this terrible at least 😆 .
I'd like to see Kvasnicka moved up the lineup, at the very least he should be getting more time than on line 4. As far as the rest of the team this still seems like a year where you're evaluating who should stay on the roster and who should not be on it a year from now (not to mention goalie is always an interesting one to try and figure out). There's a lot of middle six and 4th liners, even Dmen on this team that are kinda just there and that's about all you can say about them.

That seems slightly off given the shot disparity and quality of at least some of the shots but they were also really bad. I would've guessed like 4-2 maybe.

I stopped even watching/listening to the game when UMTP scored the first goal on Mooney's major. On the plus side, I've got a bottle of a bourbon barrel aged Zinfandel that I'm enjoying. It won't last the night.
Well, that had the same energy as the Anaheim Ducks game I attended last year (long story short, I happened to be visiting relatives nearby during one of the Wild Wing mask giveaways). Fortunately Jackson LaCombe showed up, but he was pretty much the only one who did. And that too was pretty much over before the end of the 2nd.
My expectations for a transition year are probably about where they should be no matter who the new coach is, but that doesn't mean it's not frustrating to see our guys go from a chance to pull within one on the power play to giving up three on a major. It'd be great to get a split, but we need to see at least a close game to salvage the weekend.

Tbh doesn’t surprise me at all. Multiple seeing eye shots and deflected ones plus some muffins let in and it snowballs on you. Shot attempts were near even after 2 as well.
dunno what the staff has up their sleeve, but they have to show something tomorrow or this fanbase is going to turn on them very rapidly given how many were puzzled by the choice in the first place
