Thankfully I had other plans tonight- but I happened to be wearing an old hazeltine 2016 Ryder cup polo to work today and my after work plans, so someone passing by me and my date's table, here in f * * * ing Illinois asks me "what's the deal with Minnesota rn",
didn't know if they meant the Purdue game last weekend or tonight at Duluth and all I could think about is, I have never watched us lose 7-1 to anyone in such a pathetic fashion.
Genuinely. Yes- Mich St. beat us 9-3 a while ago, but 9-3 and a lock for #3 in pairwise AT THAT TIME was / and felt, so so so much different from "we needed to put up a better showing after the last weekend series we played and completely s*** the bed"
anyways I think I told that guy something like "well we're still the only football program to have 3-peated, ever". If it was easy more teams would've done it by now, heh
Quote: Rau 4 SkiUMah 2.0I tell you, I would not have wanted to have been in that locker room tonight. Especially after hearing Coach Larson’s postgame interview. Probably wasn’t a fun, one sided conversation.
They lose 3-2, or they lose 7-1, I'm sure the messaging is largely similar regardless. You start to just tune it out
As someone who wore an A while my high school team lost 16 straight games, it all blurs together at some point. There's nothing else one can even say, and even worse there's really no point in asking the leadership group to step up after the team starts tuning them out and giving us stinkers like this. If the team was invested then we don't lose 7-1, end of the day it's ridiculous if they've already hit that point <4 games into a season that was supposed to be so much different from last year
