Begley with one of the worst shifts I have ever seen from any hockey player at any level. Cannot believe that Begley was on the ice immediately following a TV timeout.
That was tough to watch, good heavens. Could the boys get any juice going? Other than that like 45 second flurry roughly ten minutes ago the gophers have been almost completely pedestrian.

Brody Lamb is an absolute DOG
Lamber knots it up and “saves” this period. That was 80% BC but thanks to Airey keeping us in it, Hendrickson doing the dirty work in front of the net, and Lamb being a sniper it’s somehow tied. We looked asleep for me over half of that period.
Lamb now has an even strength goal in each of the first three games.
He had 8 even strength goals in 39 games last season. He scored 8 power plays last year most were on tips/rebounds being the guy in front screening the goalie.
As a senior his game is definitely reaching another level. He and Ziemer have the best shots on the team.
Signs of life in the last 5min. must capitalize immediately in the 2nd. D-corps still needs a ton of work on their attention to detail.
Not just the atrocious play(s) by Begley; I keep seeing them lacking awareness of BC’s forecheck, resulting in first-passes going right to an Eagle’s stick. Ludtke made the nice pass over to McLaughlin, who ripped the shot off the glass and out killing that bit of momentum.

Hendrickson gets hits from behind causing him to go into the boards head first. The same thing happened to Gruba in the first period of game one last weekend and he missed the rest of the series with a concussion.
Hopefully the same thing doesn't result from this hit.
Both checks from behind are only called as 2 minute penalties. Hitting a guy from behind like that is a dangerous play because it is far enough away from the boards that is results in the player going into the boards head first.

super dangerous. Would, if anything, like to see them add the HS option of making it a 2 and a 10 as there’s just no room for that kind of a hit. He got spared because they’re further away from the boards and he’s lucky he didn’t go in neck first.

im pretty sure he meant that tonight would be a bigger crowd than what he had in the consolation bracket for the state tournament. He basically said it would be a little different than when he was in HS.

he wasn’t a very good interview in general, I guess he could’ve just been careless w/ his word choice. hence why I tuned out.
all in all, yet another master class in incompetence by the BTN trying (ehhh) and failing miserably w/ its hockey coverage. BC kid wasn’t even the goal scorer!
