Praised Darnold all season ready to give him the bank until the last 2 games and now wants him gone. Ohio State fans have wanted Ryan Day gone all season, especially after the Michigan game. Now that same fan after tonight baring a total choke will give me a lifelong contract.
It’s been noted all season that Ohio State’s DB’s get by with a lot. I’ve mentioned it a couple times here. Even the Ohio State fan Herbstreit acknowledges it. And the few and far times they do get called, the players and Ryan Day act in disbelief.

I think they were on the six or something not all that close? But yeah in college I feel like even chipshots aren’t as guaranteed as you’d think and still being down 2 scores with an make isn’t exactly ideal.
For as much as I dislike Iowa Hawkeye football… The Iowa Hawkeye football program came through big time. My roommate and one of my best friends from college son needs a double lung transplant. And his son is in and out of the University of Iowa hospital often. The Make-A-Wish Foundation asked their son what he wanted in his wish was to meet Cooper DeJean and the Iowa Hawkeye football team. Last weekend they went to Iowa City got a tour Kennick Stadium, got to be on the football field during practice and a video for him to see from DeJean. All of the coaches and players went above and beyond in being thoughtful and friendly to my college roommate's family and son. Seeing all the videos and pictures on Facebook brings a tear of joy to my eye. Especially being a father of a special needs child. You know the daily hardships and challenges.
It is amazing the partnership that the Stead Family Hospital and the Hawkeye Football program has cultivated just in the past decade. I have a couple friends from my hometown that their children were in Stead and football players and coaches came up to see them. Emotionally it is such a boost for the kids and the families. You hear it more times than not that having a positive attitude helps in the darkest of times of your child's sickness. So what the Iowa football program is doing and continues to do does help. It is so much more than the wave on a Saturday afternoon.

Now comes the waiting game. My friend’s wife and son are moving down to St. Louis this weekend to wait for a pair of lungs. My friend and their daughter are staying in Iowa. It’s can be days or weeks until a matching donor is found.

My buddy’s son had dbl lung transplant surgery yesterday. And the surgery was a huge success. MidAmerican Transplant Family House in St. Louis houses transplant families. At night the lights are usually blue, but they turn green when the house has a successful transplant for one of the families. Yesterday, there were there 3 successful transplants.

Adding the context that they were bad going over the top all game and it becomes a real head scratcher. I’m not someone that thinks a team should never take a risk, but taking one there, with that play, felt real dumb.

This will help the Big Ten get an extra team rather than the SEC in the 12 team playoff and that team will be the Gophers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No I don't think the Gophers will make the 12 team playoff but non conference games like this could impact which conference gets the last at-large team.
Florida State last season was 2-10 after going 13-0 winning the ACC Champions and missing the last 4 team playoff the previous season.

Alabama was #17 in the final polls last season. They went 5-3 in the SEC last season and then lost their bowl game to Michigan for the second year in a row. With this loss they are now 5-5 over those 10 games. Bama is no longer the same team.
I've been to three Florida State home games at Doak Campbell Stadium (at Bobby Bowden Field) and it is an absolute nut house. It gets sooooooooooooo loud when the Noles are up!!!!!!

I’m currently in a sports bar in Pensacola and let’s just say that the FSU crowd (which is understandably the largest contingent here) is really feeling themselves right now. The Bama fans are pretty quiet and most have left in a hurry.

Late in the game they showed a Bama fan who was at the game when he figured out the camera was on him he gave the one finger salute he did not look happy. 😀
