Anyone have the video of the play right at the buzzer? Jup?
Never mind it’s at the very end of this video. That puck was absolutely going in before it hit Ziemer. Wow.

it would’ve been wiped as ziemer is in the crease anyway in all likelihood, but yeah this teams puck luck has been horrific this year
@maroon_and_gold I took this series as a step in the right direction. With college hockey not having a preseason, and this squad with so many new faces, it’s understandable that it will take some time for these young players to find their identity and understand the expectations on them. Yes the bar has been lowered from previous years on our fan end. My hope is the bar has been raised in the locker room and the coaches office as they demand more from each other.
well, seeing as college sports is basically run like the pros now, they should get a preseason at this point…who do we talk to about this? 😂😬🫤
I’m very pleased with the weekend. They bring this weekend to the rink for the remainder of the season, it’ll be a very successful season at the end.
Satisfied with the weekend. I was at the games Fri & Sat. After the first period Sat I got the impression the Gophers were tired. Details in their game get lost, etc..
McKenna didn't look like a #1 draft pick. You could see talent but not sure his heart is in college play? Mooney was much more engaged on every shift. Really love #18! He is worth the price of admission.
A split at home vs #5 PSU where they gutted out a one goal win on Friday and lost a close one goal game on Saturday = progress. Airey played well both nights! And while the loss to Long Island U likely will prove costly in the long run, it may have woke them up too! Helps getting the injured players back in lineup, they’re a much better team with Ludtke, Townsend & ThomasSatisfied with the weekend. I was at the games Fri & Sat. @cowgirl maybe Bob can get them a full time spot in Da Beauty League and run it as a preseason schedule. 🤣🤣🤣
Great win Friday. Saturday wasn't the worst, but with a 1-0 lead they went into the same mode they were in against Q. They appeared to not even be trying to generate offense.

It didn't look like we were trying to go into a defensive shell after the 1-0 lead. Penn St played more responsible defense in the neutral zone and was forcing us to not carry the puck across the blue line. We didn't have a cohesive plan so it all looks off. If you're going to dump the puck, you have to do it with forward momentum. We would dump it as a last resort, which usually means the other forwards are going sideways at the blue line or stopped waiting for the puck carrier. Same thing we frustrated Penn St with on Friday night. On top of that, Penn St likes to fly the zone so we didn't commit 3 players deep on the forecheck. Kept a forward high all weekend and it worked pretty well.

well said. We did a lot less getting our F1 in on the forecheck dump comparatively with Friday which led to easier breakouts for PSU Saturday. We put them under a lot more pressure Friday night.
this was how I expected them to play all year. Tough to see it take so long but happy progress being made
Liked they came back from down 2 in game #1.
Winnable game #2. I liked their stick work. Lots of sticks in lanes. Just need to figure out the PK.
Airey played well. Will be interesting who starts vs Denver.
I thought J Moore was very noticeable as well. Maybe his best games.
I actually give a @#$* about the Twins
