As I ponder Bob, I keep thinking back to Buetow, who was released by Paul Giel. If this got Brad fired, Bob should be done.
Minnesota has standards. To me, .500 would have been ok; this is far from it.

Never saw anything else about it. We don’t have any evidence to say that is the reason Buetow was let go and I don’t want to accuse any one of something that isn’t backed by any other evidence. But unfortunately the timeline checks out. That’s more oxygen than that story needs on this message board but to your point, the Beutow situation is probably not the best comparison.

Let's see, we are 39th on the NPI, so that means we need only about.... 30 schools to come down with deadly viruses that dont let them play, then we should be next in line to play. So not bad odds.

they need a gm. Can very much see that happening. They need to start planning for the future. Whether it’s an assistant or Martin that are removed for the role, that’s what needs to happen. The chl and Canadian players (plus pipeline mgmt) cannot be ignored

I mean what’s the plus side of bringing Miller back? Defense was atrocious, PK like last in the country.

Supposedly ge makes 200k+. Going to be a tough sell to be paying your hockey coaches well over $1mil and you’d basically need to give him a HC track salary

I gotcha. In that case just make the coaching change officially. No reason to delay things and go through a season of an awkward straddle with a coach who's basically retired but still calling the shots.

His tenure as head coach at NMU went disastrously, Hartford is a mess now, and he should’ve been a man and stuck around to at least try to fix whatever was imploding at NMU rather than leaving it for the next guy to clean up

Grant hasn’t from everything I can see, Raboin is off to a good start, Barr is probably the most successful thus far. Might be some other names out there that haven’t come up.
