Regression of some players is a sign coaching is a problem. None I can think of more than Jimmy Clark. As a sophomore he looked really promising playing between Wood and Kurth. Just fallen off a cliff this season.
Idk if I'm as die hard as some of the fans on here, I do watch the vast majority of games even this year that's remained the case. If Motzko is back next year it's gonna be hard to get invested and even do the bare minimum of following the team. It's hard to tell if that was more him looking good because of the talent around him freeing up space and scoring off his passes vs him actually getting worse. Moore is a decent player but Ludtke has been pretty terrible all year, neither is as good as Wood or Kurth. I don't think Clark was ever that good if I'm being honest so I'm not even sure it's regression. Fair question as to whether a different coach would get more out of him though, the same could've been said for someone like Rhett Pitlick and probably a few other guys over the years.Cannot wait until Pahlsson is gone. He’s been shockingly bad this year. Whatever coach has him for the next 3 seasons of his college career will have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to turn him into an NHL hockey player.

He was a pretty highly touted recruit though. I remember this board being pretty pumped when we landed him. Looked promising as an underclassman. Scored a big goal in the NCAA tournament his freshman season. Idk, imo there’s a player there somewhere but it’s vanished.
Even Lucia's worst teams didn't look this bad, the year Kevin Wehrs got demolished by Frattin is about as close as I can think of and even that team was tougher to play against despite the obvious talent issues. Yeah, good luck to that unnamed coach. Joel Otto was a big, awkward skater who nobody thought had a future in hockey and he ended up an all star. The thing is, Otto was a forward and had good hands.
I suppose anything could happen, but I said from the first time I saw Rombach skate that he loses two or three steps transitioning off his back skates. If he can't fix that, he has no future as a defenseman. Even if he does fix it, there are other deficits he would have to overcome.
Kinda, he was a 7th round pick. The ceiling for him was more likely to be a good 4 year player and an effective middle six center. It's me back again with bad opinions, but I am personally fine with Bob coming back next year if he blows up the roster. BUT I don't have any faith he will so I am not sure what to say
