Thought it was funny the broadcast put up each goaltender and how many Steals they’ve had this season. Think it was 2 for Luca. You never see that stat, but here we are, I guess that’s one more.
Very little sustained pressure the entire game. All our goals scored off a stretch pass/ odd man rush. Thought for sure we were going to blow it after Mooney hit the empty net crossbar.
See what tomorrow and next week holds—oddly the new tourney favor plays well into our hand this year if we did decide to make a run at a first round date with the Soo
This is my worry for the rest of the year and into next year. We can steal a game here or there, but that's not a recipe for sustained success. We need to score on the forecheck consistently and supplement with PP goals or goal on the rush. Not the other way around.

Ziemer is so solid. lots of effort with blocking shots out of our guys from what I recall as well, good goaltending and capitalizing on our opportunities.

agree on the push back, it’s a typical response game two anyway but I gotta think that this one carried something extra heading off the ice last night. Expect the worst hope for the best as they say. Them gophers still have a way of being wrapped around a guys finger though no matter what kind of season it is.

Yesterday when Michigan scored their first goal and the band played the goal song, one of my cats started growling and acting all spooked 😆. My guess is something outside spooked them but it was good timing.
