definitely has some of those puck skills but he needs to move it waaaaaaaaaaaay faster. the dangling across the blue line is not a good time.

What the hell are you talking about man? I'm sorry to take out my frustration at the current team/game on you, but that PSU squad:
- won 4 of their first 5
- won 11 of 14 total non-conf. games
- was missing their highly touted starting goalie for those first 8 B1G games.
- They were even forced to dress a club team goalie in a few of those Ls.
All in all: it wasn't 8 straight losses, and it wasn't the most critical games for earning a tourney bid.
Our team as it looks right now is more or less what we have, Tarin Smith isn't going to come in and save our bacon a month from now like a new starting goalie could. The lowest form of analysis is "remember when some other thing happened to someone else once?"

We lost a game at Tech when the puck deflected off a stanchion into the slot to set up the game winning goal late in the 3rd period. Now the Gophers go ahead goal in the 3rd period is waved off because it went in directly off the official (a rule change).
CAN WE EVER CATCH A BREAK OR AT LEAST GET A FAIR SHAKE ON THE BREAKS!!!!!!

it seems like he's trying to make the perfect play than just being intuitive/quick with it. you wonder if some of it is from how bad the NTDP was last year and learning some bad habits holding the puck
Stuff like not winning that faceoff and then icing it ourselves are things that the Gophers need to really work on.

the Humphreys TO dancing near the blue line when we win a clean draw against a tired group is just bad hockey. May work up in Canadian Major Jr but you just can't do things like that at this level

3 on 3 in the college game really needs a revamp. the skill/speed is just not good enough to make for an appealing product
evidenced by us on the effective 3 on 1 not even getting a shot attempt
