The "THE Ohio State University" boosters are feeling just a bit peeved, I would guess. 4th straight loss to Michigan, who was 6-5 this year and a 21 point underdog. OSU had just one loss, a 32-31 defeat against Oregon, the undefeated and #1 team in the country, on the road. Playing to go to the B1G title game a rematch against Oregon...now all gone. 43-8 (.843) over four seasons is something most programs would die for, but Ohio State isn't most programs. There's still (most likely, anyway) the CFP, but it's going to be an interesting off-season in Columbus.
I said in a group chat that OSU can win the Nat'l Championship, and some OSU fans will still want Day's head because OSU didn't beat Michigan. Depending on how 't OSU does in the CFP, it very well could be interesting in Columbus.
I'm not sure I've ever cheered for BYU before, but go cougs!

The flag planting thing needs to stop. James Franklin stopped one of his players from doing it this year because he said they were better than that. He’s not wrong. Four instances of fights after a game today where a player tried to plant a flag. Go create a trophy or something so you can chop down some goalposts (even though that hasn’t gone smoothly over the years).
It's all braggadocio and younger generations take too much pride AND offense to it. It's become an issue because of immaturity. Hey, you get beat, ok, plant the flag, we get it. You win? Plant the flag, but don't show boat it. There is a balance that has long been lost.

Even as frustrated as Iowa fans get with him during the season he still has a winning program that is a couple wins away most years to be at the top of the conference.

I'll always tip my hat to the St. John's football program, Joe Gagliardi is an absolute legend! In D3 he is the only coach that I would put above Central College coach Ron Schipper.

With his kid committed to Iowa anything is possible. Right now the fanbase is big on Seth Wallace who is the Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers Coach/Assistant Defensive Coordinator. He stood in for Kirk the first game of the year when Kirk was suspended for his admitted recruiting violation of Cade McNamara. I like Seth more because he is already in the program and just fits the mold of what Iowa football is. Fitzgerald is a great guy but I think he still has a couple years to outlast the rocky ending of his tenure at Northwestern IMO.

A pretty entertaining game - PSU had the ball with under 2 mins, down 8 after forcing Oregon to punt but Allar threw a pick on 2nd and 1 to end the game.
The last playoff spot comes down to probably SMU or Alabama...
Alabama has 2 of 3 bad loses... SMU as 0 of 2.
SMU played in a conference championship game... Alabama watched championship games on TV.
I believe SMU will get that final spot, but I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the committee folds to Alabama

I'll admit it...it was glorious to watch Iowa State get manhandled by Arizona State on Saturday. It answered the much asked question last week if ISU was overhyped. State fans had been on Iowa fans for most of the last month while they kept winning while making the Big 12 Championship game about how good their team is/was. It took all of about 15 minutes for them to change their stance to "At least we beat Iowa" after they got their asses handed to them. The only way I would chant "At least we beat ISU" is if that was Iowa's only win on the season.

Soooo...Iowa only has two QB's on their roster currently now with Marco Lainez hitting the transfer portal this morning. That makes the third Iowa QB to hit the portal this fall, James Resar and Cade McNamara being the other two. That leaves Jackson Stratton, who spent the first half of the season as a scout team LB, and the injured Brendan Sullivan to play the bowl game on the 30th. Hopefully Ferentz doesn't spend money like he did on the major disappointment Cade McNamara in the transfer portal.

Not a big surprise… Travis Hunter of Colorado wins the Heisman.
Watched the SDSU and NDSU games. Both teams like the trash talk and taunting. Should be entertaining next weekend with SDSU @ NDSU.
