I hate to admit it, but I'm probably leaning toward Michigan. I work with some MI people who are diehard MI State fans. Most of them are behind Michigan tonight.
(I would never want MI to win in hockey unless it was against a team like WI or the insufferables to the West.)

Exactly. There is a difference in rooting for the Big Ten vs Michigan.
I will never understand why anyone cares if the conference wins...especially a helmet school. Screw the Big Ten and I hope Michigan loses in embarrassing fashion.

Had to laugh yesterday during the South Dakota State/Montana national championship game. One of the TV announcers was going off saying South Dakota State could win the Big Ten West.
Such a blowhard… SDSU last loss was to Iowa, 10-3 in 2022. A FCS team playing a BIG power five team once a year, is night and day difference playing a power 5 BIG sch. for 9 weeks.
Giving up ten to Iowa is like giving up 30 to most B1G teams.

Was cheering for Washington but impressive performance by Michigan. Penix and Washington was out of rhythm all night. Hate to say it but congrats to Michigan on there undefeated season
Michigan’s TE, Loveland was on his high school rodeo team… who didn’t have a high school rodeo team?!?!?!
That game couldn’t have helped Penix draft position, though the Michigan D was really good. Washington had a disastrous start and it’s hard to come back against a defense of that caliber especially when you make key mistakes every drive on offense.
McCarthy didn't do himself any favors either especially when the knock against him already was that he's never (had to) put the team on his back in a quality win.

The MI tackles destroyed the middle of the WA o line all night
I saw one replay where the RT for Washington didn't move until the defensive end was already on his back hip. The Michigan DL was able to get consistent pressure with 4 guys which made Penix's job extremely difficult. It was compounded by their WRs dropping passes too frequently.
True though he had like 5 overthrows too. Just not a great night night all around for their offense.

I’ve seen multiple lists, none of which had the same candidates on it. It’s was all alums and former assistant coaches and none of those lists had PJ on it. The main option talked about has always been Dabo Swinney as he played and coached there.

I am not going to lose any sleep about this having a chance at all. When the B1G and $EC haven't bought into it, nor have ESPN or FOX, it is DOA.
Sounds like a plan to keep the Big 12 and ACC relevant as they read the writing on the wall. But what is in it for the B1G or $EC? Little. So it is unlikely to happen.
