Kirk Ferentz had his weekly press conference this afternoon. Obviously seems miffed at the announcement of Brian getting let go after the end of the season. He said that this was a decision from the athletic department and not how he has done staffing business in his 24 years.
Well KF, you and Gary Barta figured out how to circumvent nepotism rules by "having" Barta hire your son. Which left him and his position accountable to the AD which is no longer Barta. Having the worst offense in the entirety of FCS football for two years running is, to me, enough of a reason to be let go...only thing I would have done differently was fire him last Monday after 2 YARDS OF OFFENSE IN A HALF OF FOOTBALL!!!
At this point I don't really care what happens to Iowa football the rest of the season. They could run the table and make it to Indy or they may tank and end up playing in the crappiest bowl game...I'm just not that concerned.

You'd think Harbaugh was crucified upside down in the middle of the horseshoe the way people on campus are reacting. Yost had several PSU-like chants bemoaning the suspension. Shirts were being sold on campus in blue and yellow with something about sign stealing on the front.
Just absolute cult-like behavior. "We didn't do anything wrong". Like Jesus man, I'm sure Wolverine fans were measured and calm when the Clem Haskins and genglehoff stuff broke.

The interim coach bawling and swearing while getting interviewed after the game is next level victimhood. Seems like a pretty open and shut case to me but I guess teaching the kids morals isn’t a thing for Harbaugh.

Harbaugh was not suspended. He’s not allowed on the sideline at games, but he was at the hotel on this trip and can be at practice. This punishment was so bad everyone is pissed, both those who want nothing done and want him fired.
Iowa finally played football this weekend on the offensive side of the line, putting together their best half of football all season. They better put together 4 more halves of football to beat two beatable teams to finish the year.
And no...I do NOT believe Iowa should be ranked like much of the rest of the Hawkeye fanbase believes they should.

Anyway the reports are he planted his foot, turned, and broke his leg. 6-8 month recovery on the injury which will obviously affect his draft possibilities. Projected as a first round pick, probably at worst a second round pick before this injury. Here is the question, does he enter the draft with this injury hanging over his head or come back play his final year and prove that he has recovered from the injury? I hope for the latter but probably he will move on.

Everyone has an elaborate plan that sends an assistant to games all over the country to film future opponents sidelines? I doubt it. I’m sure they do it to a lesser extent but the point of a rule is to draw a line and that is over it. It has to do with bigger universities having the resources to do that.
