Great pickup
Really nice transfer portal pickup from PJ Fleck here
Former #1 recruit in MN. Locked up him, Koi and next year's. Nice to see and hoping Howard can provide some immediate help.
MN border walls going up. Love to see it. It starts with keeping your talent home.
Not sure this was posted, but I missed it too. When is the last time the #1 in state stayed home?

That's actually more than I thought. The bb recruiting has probably tainted my memory.
PJ is on a recruiting bender.
Re: Trey Bixby -- Not sure how you medically retire, but then transfer out.
The same way St. Juste did it at Michigan...
@gopherguy06 If you medically retire, which may have been necessary depending on what the reason was, you're not eligible to return to the same team. You have to transfer if cleared to play.
Crazy… maybe it was Fleck’s plan all along. Hey, we’ll obviously redshirt you - go get paid somewhere to not play and then come back.
I kid, but it’s so bizarre.

Probably a good example, by both sides, of not burning bridges in the recruiting process.
Much like corporate America.....you never know who you will be working with/for in the future.

Gophers land a Georgia transfer receiver. Former 4 star.
They also got a backup QB from Va Tech. PJ is owning the South these days 😉

In case anyone wants to read about the new QB. He is mostly a depth guy, but we needed depth. Sounds like he can run too, so maybe use him for wildcat packages.
Nothing wrong with depth.
Good to have another scholarship QB with Drake the main guy after Max.

An inch shorter and 10 lbs lighter than Daniel Faalele.

Hopefully with a better first step...if Danny had worked on his footwork more he could have been an all timer. As it is he is still quite good based on size and pure ability and last I saw was still playing.

IIRC he's the starting RT for the Ravens.

He was their swing tackle last year. Not a full starter but will see some action. They just drafted a new RT too who was Wasington's RT in the 2nd round so he will need to battle for PT.
