I don't know anything about Ludtke family situation, but Hennen ain't moving. Only possibility would be if Raboin was on the Gopher bench next season and he brought em both, which isn't happening.
As much as I have criticized Motzko the last year or so, bring in Fitzhenry on top of the class he has lined up and I'll wait this out.

I’ve always liked Blake Fiddler and think he’d be a great fit here but I also don’t want 3 or more freshmen playing big minutes next season. We already have Harper and Grimes on their way in a who knows on Phillips. If there’s any moves they make on defense it would hopefully be an older portal player.

realistically you need both.
On Harper, agree will be up to his camp and what they think is better for his development. Would not surprise me if they waited to see what happens with Verhoeff as far as his draft status as he looked like he could be the 1 and then that talk really cooled off again but still is a consensus top 5 pick who seems to have been helped by making the NCAA leap earlier. He also has a pretty darn good coach in Saginaw who has developed talent, but you're going to get way better S&C and resources playing at the U comparatively.
think the only reason he's been mentioned is due to our lack of an offensive defenseman/puck mover type and he most certainly is that kind of guy. Frame is always going to be the issue for a D man and holding up defensively which is why I don't think you can expect him to come in and play 20+ minutes at a high level.

1 you do need 7 D minimum
2 assuming any of the guys are coming in now is a major stretch
3 he’d be vastly better suited than Phillips to play right now
4 if you’re bringing in Harper, you need several heavier, older stay at home D men to play with him. He’s 17 and going to be playing against guys 4-5 years older than him.
5 really hard to know how any of these guys develop, but I’d take him over Gruba and Rombach as they exist today.
6 Go look at his stat lines vs ASU and UMD
i think he’s better than you’re giving him credit for. There’s a reason he’s been invited to dev camps. Schloss has also brought him up as a guy who will get looks at the next level
