Looking forward to seeing the team play in person again - not always able to make it down to mpls for games & it’ll be a welcome change not being surrounded by und or umd fans. Always a nice treat when they come up to Bemidji.

There’s a huge peewee tourney here this weekend and many of the teams are at the game. Probably why so many tickets sold. Good Gopher contingent.

You’ll all be interested to know bsu is very proud of their 2011 Mariucci classic and 2015 Northstar cup championships. So much so tbey have banners on the wall. They even have a banner for the ‘98 Air Force classic. ??

Well, the disinterest has been contagious. I myself have been wandering around the house cleaning up the December devastation rather than planting myself in front of the TV.
I do feel like we've picked up where we left off on Thursday trying to coast after the first period against the U18 team. I do like the idea of exhibition games so we don't go into the second half of the season cold, but this kind of effort better not be a trend. I don't care whether or not we win this game, but at least put together a good 3rd period.

It would be nice to get Lamb and Aaron Huglen going in the second half of the year.
I have to admit I am not disappointed in their play, but the scoring isnt there with Lamb at 2 goals 1 assist and Huglen just 2 goals and 5 assists. They have talent, seem to make some plays, but the results have been limited. I would put Connor Kurth on that list, a bit further down.

I think the whole game was building to those last 5-10 minutes of the game. It was good to see players have to step up and put in different spots. That's not an easy spot for a team playing out of place like that. I'm glad to see the upperclassmen step up when we needed them.That was dull dull dull. Some other takeaways I had was just how skilled this team is. It's almost a detriment at times when they try to make the flashy play over the smart play. Like there were a few too many unnecessary dekes. Stobel's fire really stood out. I LOVE where this team is at.
Lamb and Brodzinski also missed a back door tap in each in the third period. Two natural goal scorers. Don’t count on that happening too many more times.
We were on the side where those two missed opportunities happened. I know they both wanted do-overs on those!
On a side note, Beaver head coach Tom Serratore is one heck of a classy guy. After the game we were eating in the restaurant at the hotel we were at and he happened to be there.
He comes over to our table of Gopher fans and thanks us for coming to the game. Who does that?!
The Serratores are awesome. Really genuine guys that are always a fantastic interview.
Also, I’ll disagree with the earlier comment that they can’t skate with Minnesota. That’s usually one of the two things they can do, the other being goaltending. They don’t have the offensive firepower, so yes they do try to muck it up against a team like the Gophers to negate that disadvantage. They can however skate well, when it suits them to do so.

Bemidji was relentless when they played at Mankato (and swept the cows). I expected they would bring that energy to our game.
