Why is the 1st game on Thursday then a day off for Halloween then game 2 on Saturday?

We've been trying to figure this out. The thought may be because of TV.
BTN network is showing UW vs Neb Friday night at UW. That gets much better ratings than hockey. So I was thinking that they moved the Friday game to Thursday to get it on BTN. If they didn't move it, BOTH the Friday and Saturday games would have been on B1G+ streaming only for hockey. So instead we get at least one game that is not streamed by moving it to Thursday.

Anyone seen and/or have any thoughts on this year’s Badgers squad? Don’t really care about their exhibition vs. the US U-18s. Two ties with the Purple Cows at an empty Kohl Center doesn’t say much of anything to me this early in the season.
maybe a get-right weekend? I don’t think Wisco compares favorably to Tech, BC, or UND

We stood in line to use a bathroom that went from the back of a restaurant, through the restaurant, and into the middle of the street. It was a one hole bathroom but there were three dudes peeing at all times. One in the toilet, one in the sink, and one in the garbage can.
it was a lot of fun when we were in our 20s. I don’t look forward to it this year (I’m 50). I’m hoping our group goes to the casino or golf simulator or at least bar hops off state street.

I’m actually quite high on Wisconsin this year. They’re a veteran team which under Hastings can be a recipe for success. An offensively challenged Gopher team vs a Hastings trap does not inspire a ton of confidence.

I'll try to confirm today what is going on with this, but Motzko said on his radio show this week that BTN was the reason for the Thursday game.
