I noticed tonight the net by the Zamboni end had different pegs. All year it has been the red pegs with a tiny end that goes into the ice. Tonight it was yellow pegs that were the same diameter. Just like the ones the NHL uses. I wonder if that was a Mariucci staff decision or a Big Ten league decision? Either way Portillo will still try to push them off.

Nope. I'm sitting in my seats in sect 15. They can spill over to the empty seats if they wish, but I have a feeling the U will be selling full priced tickets in the non student sections.

They've only got one more game before everything will get fixed anyways so I doubt they’ll invest any more time in futzing with the current setup.

They ARE new, but they are not NHL... The problem was finding pegs that worked at Mariucci since they are no longer made. But they lucked out on finding ones that are a bit taller and work with Mariucci. They even thought about painting them red so no one would notice. 😂

The construction company moves in on Monday the 20th to get all setup. Guessing it will take a few weeks until actual demolition starts.

My buddy is having a kid and will be in town for the weekend. He’s originally from Spain and lives near Portland now, when he lived in Minneapolis we’d have a few beers and watch the games, sometimes I out after. I don’t think he’s ever been to a gopher hockey game so it should be a good time.
If I were a betting man, I would say the game next Saturday will be a preview of the semi-final on 4/6.

There's a story behind this Danny Gokey concert and our wedding. "Patting myself on the back", I hit a grand slam of a surprise. We also get to meet him at a meet and greet before. So, it should be fun for the both of us.

I am really excited for Saturday’s game. It has been way too long since I have been to a game but that is what 3 kids playing youth hockey will do to a person. It will be the first trip to Mariucci for my two sons and should be an amazing environment.

I have no bearing on the game lol, I just thought its interesting to see what the sportsbooks think. I thought it would be closer to a pick-em game.

It's gonna be old-time gopher hockey in front of 10,000. Get there plenty early to give them the full throttle experience
We owe them from last year and I might stop watching the sport of hockey altogether (don’t worry, obvious hyperbole) if we have to watch Fantilli, Duke, and Co. raise a trophy on our ice. Bring the hammer down boys and show them who the best team in the country is!

I am glad I looked into it a couple weeks ago. We were able to get sweats right behind the bench and near the tunnel so I am sure the boys are going to love it.
Both kids had to buy non-student tickets but they'll be there.
My friends and I were at Stub & Herbs after the Michigan State game and thankfully we decided not to even wait until the next day and we just bought our tickets then. I am so excited for this game and as I mentioned above we need that sweet revenge for last year. Mariucci is going to be rocking!
