Chicken Salad Chick opened in Apple Valley today. The line starts at the door and runs all the way down the front of the building and all th the to BW3s, the side and back of the building. Supposedly first 100 people get a free sandwich for 12 months for a year.
I’ve been to Chicken Salad Chick a couple times. The Cranberry Kelli (cranberries, almonds and chicken) and Kickin’ Kay Lynne (Buffalo sauce, Ranch, bacon, jalapeños, shredded cheee and chicken) are their best scoops. And the broccoli salad load and pasta salad are their best sides.
Pink Ivy started a wine club, sounds like a good deal if you like wine. Per the owners themselves, they will be starting a whiskey club in a similar vein in the future. Right now, seems limited to the newsletter followers, but I would expect an announcement on social media/website at some point.
Monthly fee, private tastings, bonus gifts when one makes (x) amount of purchases, etc. A little high-falootin', but affordable for schmoes like me. (No, I will not be in the wine club, I do not like wine at all).
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
For those who live in the south suburbs and looking for an alternate place to get eggs and meats… try Brand Farms in Farmington. They provide some of the best fresh eggs around. The eggs you buy in the store are nearly a month old when they hit the shelf. We also buy our bacon from them and it’s hands down the best bacon. We also buy our jams, jelly and salsa from Brand’s. We have bought our beef, but 95% of our beef comes from Von Hanson’s or a farm in Montana. And we buy all are chicken and pork from Von Hanson’s.
Also Brand Farms has an apple orchard along with several activities for kids. Starts sometime after Labor Day weekend. You get to ride a hay ride from the farm to the orchard. The apple canon is a big draw. Launches apples at 300 mph at several targets.
