Western Michigan is the only option that doesn’t make me vomit. I guess Denver winning yet another one is pretty whatever it’s not like we’re catching them any time soon.
This is like the worst possible scenario as a Gopher fan. If UMD makes the final, I’m going to try and sell my tickets for a lot of money as I couldn’t cheer for either team. 🤮

Very seldom we cheer for any of the teams that are playing unless it's the Gophers or against a select few others. I just wish for good games and none go to OT

How could Augustine not find the puck on the winning shot makes me sick
I think it was deflected by the glove of one of the mi-state players.
correct. Augustine has always had that unorthodox punching style he uses to push pucks out of play and I’m sure he wishes he could go back and be more square to it as it is going over the net prior to the deflection and may have just hit him if he isn’t partially jumping for it
will be curious to see how many of those guys come back given how it ended and the ongoing lack of a ff trip
WI was redlined and playing on their toes while MI State got caught in protection mode and couldn't snap out of it. In rube parlance, it was a massive choke.
The Spartans' chances of losing that game were about as likely as the Vikings scoring on a Josh Allen fumbled snap in the endzone. It can happen but almost never does.
So. The lesser of my two evils is the red team in the semi. That’s hockey as they say but what in the Sam He double hockey sticks is going on? Just so wrong. ND wins this game imo.
“Good pace, a lot of north and south, or it could be east and west, I’m not sure but either way…” Wooger

they lost to Cornell the same way last year (2 goals in the back half of the 3rd)

UND fans should be giddy they're not playing MI State. This year's NC game should have been the two Michigan schools playing for the title, which would have been epic.

yeah the stars are lining up for them unfortunately. They took care of business when they should’ve and if Michigan comes through on the other side they more often than not thrive in the underdog role when confidence is high like now. If Duluth comes all the way through ND has the revenge game motivation. Not counting out western or Denver but my over thinking is kicking in and can see what’s happening here.😂

@upnorthkid I have to assume on the hate-o-meter for Gopher fans it goes 1. UND 2. Wisconsin 3. Michigan?
Not sure the order but UND/Wisconsin has to be the closest thing to cheering for a meteor for a Gopher fan.
The only solace I will take is that given the amount of drunks in both the UND and Wisconsin fanbases, we will probably hear stories of some type of big fanbase fight breaking out in Vegas which will glorious.

Augustine's defense kinda screwed him repeatedly, not to mention the rest of the team just hitting the snooze button. Aside from whoever it was deflecting the puck past him to lose the game IDK if you saw #8 on the tying goal hit the glass, wobble around, and then look completely lost as Wisconsin got the shot and rebound that scored. No idea what that guy was doing on that play.

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
This really sums up our year as Gopher fans that Denver winning number 11 is somehow the least stomach turning option.
my favorite part is if du holds on and Michigan wins, we’ll have beaten every team in the frozen four this year. 5-6 overall (4-5 if its umd with beating 3/4).
This looks nothing like the same Denver team we beat in November.. They grew and we shrunk😂
That game LDP made like 30 saves in the first period where as the Gophers scored twice on like 4 shots lol. I'm exaggerating but the shot disparity was significant and the Gophers got pretty lucky that game. Pretty good example of why a one game format is so ass.

Lots of good players from Minnesota playing in the NCAA this year who did not pick Minnesota or who Minnesota thought weren't good enough to play on their wagon of a team. 😆

25-5 and score was 1-1 lmao
Alright my memory isn't bad 😆.
Kinda funny that on campus sites are banned for regionals but Denver gets as close as you can get to a home game vs the 1 seed. Not saying that's the cause of the outcome thus far but that's a pretty rough draw for Western.
