Hmmmm...Yesterday morning the entire site was down and throwing a 503 error. I got on the my provider help chat and there was a 30min wait. About 25min in, the site started working again. So I left the chat and didn't think about it.
So maybe they are having server issues like a few weeks ago? Who knows?

In threads with a lot of links it often won’t go to the last unread post but the links work.
the committed recruits thread is all discombobulated though with the wierd format and giant icons. That’s about all I got that’s not working correctly.
OK, the one GE posted worked fine, but some of the USA Hockey videos posted today in the Committed Recruits thread don’t work for me and the link for the USHL defensemen of the year does nothing when I touch it.

Same issue for me when I use my laptop. If I use my phone, all of the links in that thread work. It just seems to be an issue in that thread. I know that thread has some sort of bug by the way it is displayed.

If there was a way to bring the end of the quote (don’t know the technical term for in between the []) up a few lines, it would save the headache I think. The parentheses are three lines after the last word you are trying to quote and it seems some people don’t realize you have to scroll all the way down and start your reply after it.That thread is screwed up. I am testing out a BigTen Scores widget on the Portal page. It will show games that are from 3 day prior, to 3 days in the future. Nothing automatic with the scores. They are all manually updated by me. It is basically me testing out a few features I have never used with the "SportsPress" plugin that does all the games and standings content on GPL.
I am planning on adding ALL of the BigTen games for next season and wanted to test the importing feature. By importing that last few weeks of games for this season allowed me to test all that. So hopefully next year I will import the entire season of BigTen games and only BigTen games for all the other teams. I really do not care about the non-conference games for BigTen teams. I only care about BigTen games since it then allows the BigTen standings to be automatically calculated instead of me messing it up all the time.

I also tweaked the Roster page to include basic offensive and goalie stats. I was hoping the SportPress plugin would do a better job of this, but it just doesn't. The plugin needs a big overhaul... but it is barley touched and maybe gets an update for WordPress compatibility once a year at the most. But no actualy updates and new features. I may need to look at something else down the road.

Game threads usually get locked the Mon/Tue after a series anyway so I locked it.

After many hours... I think I have all of this years stats working. Just need to add past stats for each player for their individual profiles. From here on out, they will be updated for each game and then totaled automatically.

It only took me 7 seasons to figure out how the stats work with the SportsPress plugin. But I really didn't have the desire to really take a look at it either until recently when I was trying to solve the BigTen standings and having it calculate automatically.
I think I may add a few more stats now that I THINK I have figured out how it all works. Here are a few possibilities.
Faceoff Wins, Losses, %
Blocks
Penalty Minutes
Plus/Minus
One stat that may look weird is the goalie minutes. I can only do this as a decimal minutes vs time. The reason being is that in this plugin, time is added up to hours... So instead of displaying time in minutes, it would show hours... So 1740min would be 29:00 instead. So I just kept that as a decimal number so it adds up better.

Makes sense & I do have notification emails turned off and don't plan to turn it on again. I seem to recall a lot of notifications I didn't need.

I do get notifications when someone reacts to a post, or when I'm quoted/replied to (such as Cowgirl's quote above, or on a thread that shows me as starting)
Okay... I have figured this out after some testing this morning.
(One issue I was having is that since I started this thread, I was automatically getting notifications)
So I found a global setting that turns OFF the email notifications. So if you get mentioned, you will not get an email. BUT... This is where you will need to go in to your account and UNCLICK the mention notification icon that is likely crossed out. This is something many of use did back when I started this new board. Now you need to change that back.
So change this in your profile back on... You should NOT get emails from it.
