Just thought I would create a thread for when I am doing things on GPL that may affect the site.
Right now I am running a few queries that may slow the site down. I am doing some optimization that will hopefully speed this place up a bit. Not going to update anything right now, just seeing what CAN be removed. If I end up actually removing anything, I will shut down the message board for a short time to get a complete backup and then run the queries.

Okay... I just ran a script that removed old data from a table in the database. It basically reduced the size out the GPL Data base from 350MB down to 255MB. That is after other optimizations reduced us down from about 425MB.
So things are a bit more lean and will run a smidge smoother.
Please let me know if you see any missing content or something is broken. Thanks!

I also just deleted a ton of cache as well. So we could be a bit slow this evening for a little while. But overall, the site is getting leaner and will get faster over the next few days.

mostly good, still intermittently takes a minute to load.

PASSWORD RESET is not working right now. I am looking in to this, but I am also out all day today and most of tomorrow. SO it may be a while until it is fixed.

I think it is doing the thing where if I go to a certain page it logs me out, and it happened while things weren’t working quite right so I couldn’t get back in. Obviously I’m in now, and I’ve noted what page kicks me out and just won’t go there for a day or two. ?

It was not letting me log in at all earlier today but it's okey dokey now.

The Wild.thread did the same to me but it think it's ok now.
I get logged out after entering several threads once I go back to the portal. Seems to happen the first time going to each thread and sporadically after?
