I think the Falcons GM job should be in play after signing Cousins then drafting Penix.🤔 😀

Seems Turner could turn out to be a great move. I possibly slightly overreacted 😉
This is brilliant.

I agree.. I also think it’s COMICAL there are a handful of people saying “we gave up tooOn paper I give the Vikings A maybe even an A+ for their 2 picks last night. Pretty much got the 2 guys they wanted for very little to nothing. 3rd round picks and beyond are a dime a dozen. By Sunday morning they very well can have very similar picks to the ones they gave up for next year.
much to move up”…. probably mostly the same people who would have been okay giving up 3 1st round picks for McCarthy 3 days ago…. Any pick after the 3rd round is a complete flyer.
I agree. To me, it is all close to a wash when you consider how much people were assuming the Vikings would have to give up just to get high enough to grab McCarthy alone. The jury is obviously out on whether McCarthy will be a really good pick but I liked the moves.
I also feel people vastly overrate the value of mid to late round picks. Especially the draft "gurus" and their value charts. I am not saying those mid to late round guys never become valuable contributors but the "hit rate" on them as big time contributors (across the NFL) isn't nearly as high as some fans seem to think. A lot of those guys drafted in those rounds either don't make it after a few years or they end up as backups and special teams contributors. To me, those are the kinds of guys you can find in free agency.
I'd rather be more aggressive in the early rounds at the expense of some draft "depth" than to be trading back all the time like Spielman and ending up with a half a dozen picks in the 5th through 7th rounds.
I am not totally sold on Kwesi but I respect that he showed some guts and went after it. Plus, those compensatory picks we will get will soften the blow further.
Agreed. As I said at the time, if KOC thinks McCarthy can run his offense then I’m on board as long as they didn’t have to give up the 23rd pick or a 1 next year to move up. 2nd and 3rd round picks are important, beyond that it’s just moving around capital. After a day to think about it I’m also OK with what they gave up to get Turner. They did basically move up twice to get him but he has the potential to be a Khalil Mack/Bradley Chubb level disruptor that Flores can utilize like a hammer.
Both of these players come with risk but could also become perennial Pro Bowlers with this coaching staff.
From what I have heard/seen, this draft is gonna be boom or bust. Probably no in-between. The Vikes went for it. We'll see how it pans out.

Seems like there’s a lot of good players who went to good situations for them….except for the Bills

Don't get me started on that. There may be a plan, but that is a plan that I am not seeing.

Vikings director of college scouting Mike Sholiton on OL Walter Rouse: "One of the things he talked about was he doesn't want pancakes, he wants waffles. I don't know what that was. He said, 'Waffles are when you pancake somebody and step on them.'"

Not realizing it was a 3 hour show, started the Brady Roast. An hour in and already I've had a couple HOLY SH* reactions on my end. And I've seen some roasts.
