Starting off discussing Omaha USHL

Brad Schlossman for North Dakota and Todd Milewski for Wisconsin... Two of my favorite guests on the podcast. Great guys and just so much knowledge and history with both of them.

100% agree. Even though both write about our biggest rivals, they always come across on the podcast as really good guys. I sometimes give Brad a hard time about his passion for UND, but that is his job. Too bad we don't have someone as passionate as those two that work at either local paper and is full time on the Gophers beat. Luckily we have GPL for the podcast and Vegoe being able to contribute here and other places.

Schierhorn was a great guest again, loved the GPL skate discussion with him.

Ex players are the best guests. Pat M, Ramsey, Schierhorn, etc.

Thinking ahead, will there be a Podcast this week, or skipping with the bye?

They said on the last one that they would be on this week.

Couldn't remember if they said they would be for sure, figured I'd ask.

Micheletti will be on this week.

I checked out to see how long OT lasted last night because I gave up after 30 minutes...glad I didn't stick around until the end! Watching OT now while starting my day in the office.

For the 1st time ever, I did not make it to the end of OT. Listening to the end of it now before heading out to begin the day of pre gaming. Thanks to you guys for doing this. :M: :M2:

I got involved enough in a conversation at the bar that I checked out of OT not long after Drew popped in, then after bar close, caught the last twenty minutes or so

I was kinda hoping Vegoe would pick against the Gophers again after the way it worked out in the Regional.

If you subscribe to the GPL schedule calendar, the podcast will show up on it. You can get subscribed to that calendar for Android or iOS HERE.

Closed Captions on the podcast videos... It looks like CC will happen automatically by YouTube. Even for the video I already posted. It just takes a very long time to get done. I looked at the older podcast videos and they all have the option for CC in them. It is just that the most recent one has not finished converting yet. Check back tomorrow and you may see the CC option works for you. So it looks like I do not need to do anything but wait.

Looks like once it shows up I can go in and edit it. Add punctuation and clean it up a bit manually. Looking forward to checking it out once it shows up.

CC is up and running for this episode... I tweaked them a bit, but there is just so much text... doing a full edit with punctuation and whatnot would be a bit much... Though I may been to tweak our names in StreamYard so it doesn't interfere so much. but at least it is there now.

@jupiter That's great.  I really appreciate your hard work.  You wouldn't have had to clean up the caption - I'm used to caption not being 100%.

I get an error, when I try to play the podcast, on my android phone - "NO DRM".  I'll try it on my desktop.

That's weird... It's just a YouTube video on the site. Works on my iPhone on the page.

Maybe try in the YouTube app?

Just tested in YT on a browser on my PC, and it's working fine there.

Jess tonight, and Rammer for the pre-Thanksgiving marathon?  Oh good lord, yes.

Speaking of sick players, the team was on a commercial flight to the whore today and several guys looked pretty sick.  Disappointed to hear nobody was wearing masks.  Glad I wasn’t able to make the flight out. ?

Sure will be an interesting weekend but glad it will at least be a bit more level playing field with both groups having illness running through the club. 

Speaking of Murray Williamson, our group was in Denver for the FF in 2008, and we decided to go to a fancy steak house (like about a dozen of us).   There was some Gopher gear in the group.  A guy comes over and introduces himself as a former Gopher player - it was Murray.  He sat and chatted with us for a bit and we all sang the Rouser together in the restaurant.  It was pretty cool.     

Another great podcast last night!  Really enjoy when Jess is on the podcast and I liked his views on Mel Pearson.

Jess seems to be a good guy. I appreciate his coverage of the Gophers for The Rink Live. I just wish he would be more like Schlossman in his behind the scenes info on the team. I don't need 'dirt", but would like more nuggets. I realize that most of the time he flys out with the team, and stuff that happens on the plane is off limits, but I think the die hards just want more. It probably doesn't help that it appears that Bob gets annoyed by some of his questions.

I enjoyed Jack very much.  Both him and Scheirhorn are great guests, maybe it’s the view they bring from being recent hockey alumni.  

With Ben Holden on tonight, may need to not drop to the logo when flowing in to Overtime.  Between Vegoe opening his beer of the night and Ben likely going straight for the heater, there will be plenty of activity.

Any chance we get John King on an episode sometime during the second half?
