I thought being an Avs fan was tuff Saturday, but what Blues fans experienced Sunday was worse! Conversely, Stars fans went nuts Saturday 3rd period & Jets fans were hysterical when they tied it with 2 seconds to go, then won it like an hour later! lol
I can’t recall EVER watching two back to back 3rd period one night followed by 2OT preceded by miracle 3rd period comeback in my lifetime! Just unbelievable That both were game 7 makes it even more incredible!

I felt he would do better at the next level and once the season starts next year, he'll be even better. He did a lot of individual stuff in college ( not necessarily selfish) that he won't do--or won't get away with--in the NHL. He'll be a featured power play shooter and the goals will come.

Yesterday was the 57th anniversary of the Blues beating the North Stars in game 7 of the Western Conference finals in 2OT to go to the Stanley Cup finals against the Montreal Canadiens. I still suffer trauma from that series. First year in the NHL for both teams and obviously the first year the Met Sports Center was a functioning facility. Because of a scheduling issue with the Ice Follies at the Met, the North Stars only played two of the seven games at home. Four of the games went to OT. Game 7 was scoreless until Walt McKechnie put the North Stars up 1-0 with 3:11 left; we barely had time to start celebrating before St. Louis tied it up 31 seconds later. Ron Schock ended the game for the Blues 2:50 into the second OT. I wasn't old enough to know how to swear, but I remember my brother and Dad uttering a few expletives. It was my first of countless kicks in the junk as a Minnesota sports fan and 57 years later it still stings. So, you'll pardon me if I don't feel TOO terrible for the Blues and their fans.
