Gotta give it up for PJ
The Gophers get a big road win against Washington (#23 in the coaches' poll, first other receiving votes in the AP poll so #26). Washington was in the National Championship game a couple years ago.
Wins like today are what make games such as home vs. Miss St. so frustrating.
To be fair MSU beat #19 Missouri today so they are possibly better than many gave them credit for, but that's a game preparation they'd like to have back.

Ultimately didn’t matter, but both calls were bad. The late hit that close is rarely called and he barely touched the QB. The “fair catch” signal didn’t even go above his shoulder. Didn’t have time to get his hand up. We all learned from Iowa that’s an illegal fair catch signal and should have been flagged so.
Conservative PJ got the heart rate up at 130 last night. Did enough to win and wanted to rely on the defense. At some point you have to be willing to put a team away. Trick plays are not how to do that.

Lindsey had a gaffe himself. Instead of protecting a late lead by throwing the ball away, he threw a terrible late-game interception that might have cost them dearly. In that situation he has to be play like he knows the score.
So what color helmet will the Gophers have for today’s game? Fox tv had the gold helmet on their pre game show

The Gopher defense held Michigan to 180 yards (79 rushing, 101 passing). The only two Michigan scores were a 34 yard drive after a Gopher turnover and a pick 6.
Michigan had 41 seconds of offensive ball possession in the 3rd quarter 😎🤎

Fun day at the Bank! Defense was rock solid. Needed to be because Lindsey was really off. Section next to us was pretty much all Michigan fans. Was awfully quiet over there in the 2nd half!

with a little better play in the red zone and take out the pick 6, this game was close to being 31-7 gophs. We dominated the ugly helmets. That feels good to say

Mich defense is really good, and I liked our run game. 23 is a nice changeup to Taylor.

Opened at -4.5, bets on Purdue have shifted it to -2.5. It seems the betting public also recognizes this as a trap spot for the Gophers. This may have to be a game where the offense shows up and puts some points on the board.
Given how many points Purdue has given up in recent games to not amazing opponents you'd hope they can do the same, but I know it's gopher football 🤣

Yep, they could've had multiple downs but ran 30 seconds off the clock for no reason and ran a panic play.

Total PJ Fleck game
Purdue running the same running concept over and over. Pulling guards and tackles. We cannot stop it. That’s not a thing we can coach and fix at halftime.
Three chances for the offense to go for it on 4th and short in Purdues territory and we make the passive choice each time. Not going to catch up doing that. I expect the 2nd half to look a lot like Miss St where we exclusively pass and become very predictable.

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Down 24 points and you kick a field goal on 4th and 3. This guy will NEVER learn. For all the good PJ does, he is an absolutely HORRIBLE game manager. This is a terrible performance.
