They called batted. The height in no way impacted the call based on what they announced

I guess. I have no idea. I think Jankwi01’s credit he’s not saying that it’s the right call but perhaps Rombach’s height in this case hurts him with his gloves being up so high since he’s a taller fella. But even then that shouldn’t have any bearing on calling that a goal since there was no batting motion with his hand and it even bounced off of his stick before it went in. I really don’t know what the refs were looking at there. The only thing I can think of was that there “wasn’t enough conclusive video evidence to overturn the call on the ice”. Personally, I would disagree but I don’t know what else they could have come up with.

I am a dramatic person, I understand that, that might be the worst call I’ve ever seen in a hockey game. The fact that it was reviewed and “confirmed” is ludicrous.
