Let’s hope that this past weekend wasn’t a blip and the Gophers can get a solid five or six points against the Buckeyes. Really glad it’s at home and not in Columbus. I don’t know if it’s the abysmal, funeral home like atmosphere at Ohio State or what but it always feels like we drop the ball on one game out there. Hopefully there’s some good crowds and the boys in maroon and gold give them something to cheer about. This weekend and next are a must for getting maximum points possible.

Agree… I mentioned last week that Minnesota is the only BIG student body section w/o signs on the glass. Same with banging on the glass.

I never really noticed the lack of signs until you pointed it out, but I have always noticed how stupid the other schools’ signs look.
Especially when we continue owning the all-time series at their own barns by healthy margins.

When they had the students split and were also using sections 2-3, I guess I can’t remember if students were only in the top half of the sections over there or all the way down to the glass in the corner?

Sat in section 3 for 2 years in the late 90s. It did suck. You felt out of place and by time you realized what the other student section was doing, it was already to late.

The only upside of the split Student section was it made the old school Min--Ne--So--Ta section Chant more fun as the two sections with students would compete to be the loudest. I remember the "Ne" always being very loud, was that the main student section? Then the alternate student section in 2/3 must of been the "Ta"?
Excited for the weekend. A chance to really build some momentum here.

both teams are doing minimal forechecking and are trapping just some boring ass hockey with both team really sloppy
