I just read the Boeser story and skipped right over the ( maybe 2 inserted ) ads. For me, I don't think it is a big deal. I subscribe to 2 newspapers/websites. The Strib and the Athletic. For me, the Athletic is well worth the price that I pay and always find their content top notch.

I was in Denver over the weekend for work. Pretty sure the voice on the train at the airport was the Vikings/avalanche in arena announcer dude. (Alan Roach).
Mankato switched up their broadcasting station this year. It used to be done by Bethany Lutheran college on a local access channel, et al Wayne's World. Now the local tv station KEYC is broadcasting the games on one their three channels, so now locally everyone can get the game via digital antenna instead of just cable subscribers.

Jess Myers is getting some pushback from his "fluff" piece with Mel Pearson. It is not quite the twitter war of Russo/Carter, but if Jess didn't think people would not chime in, he was missing the boat. When you give a voice to, who some feel may have done some bad stuff, you are bond to stir the pot. I think Jess does a good job covering Gophers Hockey. I appreciate that he travels to all of the games, and provides the mid week coaches pressers and post game scrums. My biggest critique is that he really doesn't break much news, like Schlossman or Milewski do, and his questions are sometimes bizarre. It also seems that he wants to be buddies with who he interviews a bit too much.

Considering every one of those other teams has a pregame and postgame show after every game and the Gophers do not, I would think the Gophers are last.

It isn't that interesting...in fact the answer is pretty obvious.
I believe back in the day Rick Pizzo from BTN used to show up in chat (if not him someone like him) and break down the college hockey ratings and the numbers are bleak. It is a niche version of a niche sport it just doesn't have much of an audience.
At best I would bet it finishes 4th depending on the audience for The Lynx and Loons.

Between the late 90's - 2010 or so... Gopher hockey would regularly get TV ratings a full point higher than the Wild & TWolves

I email KFAN yesterday around 4pm Nanne was going to be on at 5pm, I asked them to ask Lou what was the delay in setting the Gopher hockey tv schedule? He could not answer the question

Last night on KFAN they were playing memorial Viking come back broadcasts, they had a few good ones but I remember being at the Met cold December game 1977 or 78 Vikings losing to San Francisco 24-7, Tommy Kramer comes off the bench in the second half throws 3 TD’s to win the game

The statement was made when Marney Gellner brought up who she just received a Christmas card from this week, none other than the capuchin monkey himself Dave Hakstol. I guess her husband is friends with Hakstol's wife during their time at UND, that's the connection there.
Here is the preposterous statement Parrish made after Marney told her story..."Dave Hakstol is a classy guy"
