A HUGE update to the NPI on GPL.
Thanks to @eric-vegoe for giving me this idea to track NPI over a season!
The NPI rankings on GPL just got a big overhaul. You can now chart up to 5 teams over the season to see how their NPI or Rank has changed. You can compare dates for weekly saved data that is captured on Monday's at 3am to see how teams changed over 1 week or all weeks.
I added back data for the MEN to early November. I do not have back data yet for the women. That will just need to populate over time. But eventually you will be able to look back over full seasons to check where teams were at a given week in time.
The live data will still load automatically, so it will keep updating during game nights.

I didn't really look into this until you guys brought it up on the podcast last night but this is a great addition to the site. For the local Mav fans they could really see how their team has kind of tanked in 2026 so far while other teams in the CCHA have trended up.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
I just tweaked it a bit so users will see the charting teams by conference and can select all teams in a conference at once. Will not really work for the women until we have more captured data.

Thanks to Tim Brule at USCHO, we now are linked directly to their NPI Data for both Men & Women!
So now our NPI rankings include Strength of Schedule data as of this morning. I do not have any back data with the new columns coming from USCHO, but that data will fill in over the coming weeks. You will also be able to chart the SOS Ranking once that data get a few weeks of content as well.
I really like the USCHO had the SOS data. But I think our implementation is even better since you can sort by SOS if you want. There are no ad rows that break up the table. And you can compare and chart numbers. It will be exciting when next season starts and we get a full season of data over time.
The NPI data will update whenever USCHO updates their data, so it should be very up to date when scores are coming in each night.
