Are there more than the 12 threads in the portal main page? That’s all I see. ?‍♀️

Just 12 right now. It was 15 before, but that had pagination. I will see if there is a was to do pagination. But that will get done later.

RIP to the old board. Lived to the ripe age of 19.

I officially removed the old board. The files are all gone. The database is gone. There is NOTHING LEFT.

That’s good, when GE mentioned more portal pages I thought maybe I wasn’t seeing them!

I may have figured it all out... Just working out the bugs right now on a test page.

First world problem question. is there a way to scroll to 2nd, 3rd, etc. pages in the portal?

All fixed! I had hidden the pagination. It is now at the top and bottom.

Board looks way better today, appreciate all the hard work Jup.

Okay, dumb question - how can I change picture sizes? Anything I want to use is either too big or too small for the avatar or the background photo.  I am not tech savvy, is there a way to adjust so I can use the photos I want?!

SLOW… This place will be slow for a few days. Just so many bots hitting it. People resetting their passwords. Uploading avatars. So many things needing to be cached. So please be patient. It will get better as time goes on.

If Gopher fans are known it is patience and not jumping to conclusions. Oh wait.

I’m not sure what the ads are supposed to do.

I have them on the portal page under the poll and above the main page articles. And in some threads below the last post on a page and above the reply box

Also, the justification on mobile in the reply/message box is a bit wider than the the screen cutting off the right side of the message box and the emojis. It moves left and right as I type, but if I try to (on my iPhone) use my spacebar as a mouse doesn’t let me move the screen left or right  to see what’s being cut off.

When I get the chance I am going to look at some formatting issues on mobile. Especially the messaging box and emoji area. The emojis is an added MOD and not part of the message board MOD. So it will need some tweaking.

At the bottom of reply / text window (just under the emojis) you can check a box that says “Notify me of follow-up replies via email”.  Not quite the same, but if you really want to know…

I am with you on the font in the message window. I messed with it a bit, but it seemed like a ton of code to make it the same as everything else. So I gave up.

So I set it up that only logged in users can see the Who Is Online module on the forum and portal page as well as the full list page located here:

I also did the same to the member list. It will not show up in the menu unless you are online. Even if someone were to get to that page it would not show more than the message about having to be a member to view.

Go under the forum you would like to add a thread to--- example Gopher Hockey.  Open that forum and go to the bottom page of those topics and it will allow you to start a new thread.

I need to eventually do how to videos.

I was able to tweak this. You may need to clear your cache on your browser for it to work. I switch to a sans-serif font in the message window.

Thanks... explains it now.  Cause the one post I was looking at had an edit option and now it doesn't.

Is it possible to add the arrow that lets you scroll to the top of the page? Not that manually scrolling to the top of the page is tough but it was something I was used to using when I was through reading posts on a page. Just curious. The board is looking and working great though @Jup!

Sorry... I am not sure that many use the down one. Usually people read down. And when you click the most recent post, it always takes you to the bottom.

This is where this new message board may be not as good as phpBB, but adding tweaks it so much easier. I installed this with a click and then just gave the button a color scheme. Less than 5min. On phpBB this would have all been manual. Download files. Upload files. Hoping it doesn't break anything. 60min minimum.

on the old forum there used to be a little yellow what looked like a piece of paper that would let you know thats where the new post start from your last visit in the thread. is that something that will be making its way back eventually?

I really hope so, because that is. big deal to me. But so far there is nothing that will currently do that.

I see we have an arrow to scroll to the top of a page - how about one to scroll to the bottom?  Would come in handy for all the hunting through threads now for my last read posts. 😉

Added a Marketplace and Tickets Block on the Portal. Just so those things show up in more than one place on GPL when people are selling things. Thought just one Marketplace item right now an zero tickets (which is expected)

Remember... When you re on mobile. It i always goods to scroll down to see what is all on the Portal.

I was tweaking things last night and when I finished, I forgot to turn the Quote feature back on site wide. So it was broken everywhere.  It is back on now.

Have I said how wonderful the up arrow feature is?  I will say that it seems to be easier to navigate this website easier on my phone now than before.  Could be just be me though.

That was always there unless I've gone completely insane and it was removed at some point.

I'm liking things, but looks like you'll want to use shift+enter a lot. Shift + enter is not really easy on mobile.
