i guarantee the corsi stats have the xg as about 5 for the gophers. Snuggy had 2-3 from the slot as did wood. If you couldn’t see the level the ice was slanted, I’m sure Omaha would love to have you on their fan base for the year
Minnesota obviously dominated the first period, but they got a little sloppy after that. Rinzel had a bad give-away on the power play and Huglen in OT made a dreadful mistake trying to make an individual play instead of just maintaining possession. Can't make those mistakes.
Minnesota also just didn't finish tonight. UNO isn't even that good, but when you let them hang around, you give them a legit chance to pull out a lucky win. That was like a loss to UMD...circle the wagons and make the most of the one or two good chances you'll get. To lose to those farmers 3x3 is almost shocking.

BigTen+ streaming leaves a LOT to be desired. I was about half a period behind on the stream. As soon as the game ended so did my stream.
It felt like we were playing Anchorage. A lot of shots for nothing. I hope this shows the team that they can't just expect to win because they are out shooting the other team.

Very true. I feel like Souliere prob shoulda saved that last one but it’s not like it was an easy save either. Omaha goalie was lights out and hard to win a game when you score one goal. I do think they forcdd a lot of bad perimeter shots too but it’s not like they didn’t have the better of the chances in that one, they just didn’t have the goalie that stood on his head.

Can't win them all, but they should have won that one. They seemed tired at the end of the 3rd period. Hopefully they learn from this and get a sweep at UM?DA? next weekend!
Omaha played 12 three on three overtimes last year and went 7-1-4.
This weekend they won both their games in three on three overtimes.
Note to future Omaha opponents you better win in regulation or you are in trouble. 😉

I don’t disagree with your Huglen take but watch the replay he was well on his way to getting his rebound but it takes a wacky bounce off the Zamboni door. Bad break.
Also that should have been a 5 minute major penalty. It was a clear hit from behind into the boards.
Gonna need more from Oliver Moore this year. Love Rinzel, but not sure he is ready to run the power play. Decision making is slow sometimes.
All in all this team has lots of things to be excited about as a fan.

Well you have to admit, this was a top 5 loss..............for season opening series..........where you have over 50 shots in the game..........and the game started after 8:00 PM CT!
We had an extra day in town and went to the Knights game last night. Not one whioux fan spotted. Didn’t even see a jersey from any of the teams in the college hockey tourney here. We did however see a clown in a St. Cloud state jersey on the Jumbotron. 🤷♀️
