The Wolves eliminate Denver winning game six 110-98.
The Wolves where without 4 guys (Anthony Edwards, Dante DiVincenzo, Aso Dosunmu, and Kyle Anderson) this including their top 3 guards, 2 starters (ANT and DiVincenzo), best player, and their leading scorer in the playoffs (Dosunmu).
The Wolves are the first team in NBA history to win a playoff game while missing 3 double digits scorers.
Without their top 3 guards the Wolves only had 8 turnovers and forced Denver into 13 turnovers who had their regular guards.
Jayden McDaniels had 32 points and played his normal great defense.
Terrance Shannon Jr (who normally doesn't even play) scored 24 points.
Rudy Gobert had 8 assists and played great defense on Jokic tonight/all series.
The tenacity and aggressiveness the Wolves played with in games 4 & 6 to beat a very good Denver team both games by double digits while being sooooo shorthanded was a sight to behold.

With the Wolves up by 3 points with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter Terrance Shannon Jr playing point guard (he usually isn't a point guard) went one on one with Jamal Murray drove by him made the layout and the free throw Murray fouled him. Next position Jalen McDaniels hit a jumper over Murray. These two possessions were the start of a 10-1 Wolves run over the last 2 minutes to close the game out.
Jalen McDaniels earlier in the series called out multiple Denver defenders saying they couldn't guard. When the series was on the line the Wolves went at Jamal Murray and toasted him. Throughout the series they repeatedly drove the ball right at Joker shooting over and around him. The Wolves game plan was to go at the Nuggets star players knowing they could beat them on the defensive end.
Turned the Wolves game on with about 5 minutes left in the 4th. Next thing I knew… I woke up with the TV on and it’s 3am. Had to check the phone to make the timber puppies held on to win.

The shorthanded Wolves (without two of their top three guards) take game one in San Antonio.
Julius Randle had a game high 21 points and 10 rebounds (5 offensive). ANT playing only 26 minutes (was on a minutes restriction) had 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting (2 of 3 on three pointers).
Mike Conley playing 24 minutes had 12 key points all on three pointers going 4 of 7 with 6 assists and no turnovers.
Jaden McDaniels and Terrance Shannon Jr each had 16 points.
Gobert did a great job limiting Wemby to 11 points on 5 of 17 shooting (0 of 8 on three pointers).
The Wolves on the road over the past three playoffs are 12-5 when not facing OKC (0-3 against OKC so 12-8 overall).

The Wolves close the game on a 28-15 run over the last 8 minutes to beat the Spurs 114-109 to even the series at 2-2.
ANT man had 36 points on 13 of 22 shooting (3 of 5 on three points) and 7 of 8 from the free throw line. He is definitely battling thru multiple injuries and to put up this performance.

I find it interesting how Wemby and Holmgren both very little mass for their heights. Though can dominate a game when they want. They play well in today’s NBA.

Actually watching my second NBA game of the season from start to finish. Spurs/Thunder (Game 7) and the second game was Game 6 two nights ago.
I've had the games on (the network ones) while doing other stuff. My side hustle, everyone is NBA fans, so need to pay attention to keep up convos with them.

Haven't been on here in a couple weeks (busy at work, cabin weekend, etc) but this first half has been so bad I went “I wonder if anyone on the hockey site noticed this?”. So many bad calls and missed calls. There are good refs in the NBA how are these guys doing the Finals?
Should have been a flagrant when Brunson got steamrolled there, everything the ref described that didn’t happen obviously did. These veteran refs need to go or at least not be working important postseason games

The Knicks might have the biggest famous names fanbase amongst the 4 major sports. Followed by the Lakers.
One thing the Spurs do well and basketball coaches on all levels should take note. After a made Spurs basket, going on defense they defend the dribbler right at half court. Making it almost 6x5, basically making the half court a defender.
One rule I like about the NBA over College and High School, is how the line up for free throws. The NBA still makes the non shooting team players line up below the blocks. Where college and high school make those players line up above the blocks.
I like the traditional way, makes the non shooting team players actually blockout and work for the rebound. Without doing a google search, I would assume by moving the non shooting team players above the blocks, drastically decreases the offensive team on getting a rebound on a missed free throw.
