He had an 84 rating for the game as he did the week prior.  He's way too hot and cold in the regular season alone to be counted on in the playoffs.

Dobbs just messed up that onside kick worse than my first date.

Wocka wocka!

Caleb Williams to DJ Moore for a walk off game winning 46 yard TD!!!!!

The Packers kicked a 28 yard field goal to go up 16-6 with 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Bears kicked a FG with 2 minutes left.

Romeo Dobbs bobbled the onside kick which allowed Chicago to recover it.

The Bears tied the game with 24 seconds left on a 4th down TD pass to rookie Jahdae Walker (his two catches in the 4th quarter were his first two catches of his NFL career) who was only playing because 2 of Chicago's top 3 WRs are hurt and missed the game.

The Bears (11-4) now have a 1.5 game lead over Green Bay (9-5-1) with 2 games left.

Not that I have any great love for the Bears, but, given where the Vikings are this year, I can't see the slightest thing bad about this result (given that in the NFL an OT win counts the same as in regulation)

Probably the two best teams in the league facing off there, of course it was on a Thursday where I had other stuff going on and forgot about TNF 😆. Both meetings between those teams lived up to the hype though and I wouldn't be surprised if they meet again.

Unfortunately I missed it as well, as we use our streaming budget on BTN+ and ESPN+. So, whenever there are games on Prime or Netflix, we don't get to see them. I have lost some interest in the NFL since I miss some pretty good games, and will miss all of the Christmas games including the Vikings because they are streamed.  I know it is  our choice on where we spend our money, but it still bothers me. End of rant, and get off my frozen lawn.

The Vikings game on Christmas will be on WCCO. Not sure about other MN markets, but they do make all local teams available over the air if they are on streaming.

the Vikes have a contract with KFAN what will WCCO be doing picking up KFANS broadcast feed?

The discussion is about the TV feed, so I'm guessing they'll simulcast the Netflix feed.

In the last 25 seconds of the game the Detroit Lions scored a potential game winning touchdown on both 1st and 4th downs but both times are called for offensive pass interference. The Pittsburgh Steelers win 29-24.

The Lions drop to 8-7 and can only make the playoffs if they win their last two games and the Packers (9-5-1) lose their last two games.

The refs didn't do themselves any favors on that last penalty by saying "The ruling on the field is a TD, BUT OPI"

Then it isn't a TD, is it? Morons.

I didn’t like the OPI call. That play and contact happens and goes uncalled almost every game.

It was OPI, therefore the refs should NOT have said it was a TD BUT....

There was no TD, due to OPI, full stop.

If the scenario works, I much rather lose to the Lions on Christmas Day and knock the Packers out of the playoffs on the last game of the regular season.

Did at least one ref raise their hands signaling a TD?  Then it's a TD until it's determined an offensive penalty nullified it.

I agree that it was OPI. St Brown ran full speed into Ramsey to shove him out of the way and pushed full extension with his arms. The refs did themselves no favors by calling it the way they did. Also, CBS not showing a replay for like 5 minutes didn’t help.

I agree the wording was a bit clunky at the end based upon your recollection, but it still accurately described what happened - it was a ruled a TD until it wasn't.

Maybe it's me, but that is like saying, well, it was a 50 yard pass completion but due to OPI, it's actually a 15 yard penalty against the offense. The play never actually "existed" due to the penalty.

If any ref signaled it was a TD it was in fact a TD until it was over-turned.

The play in a gamecast would be described somewhat like this:

MIN 1st and 10 at the DET 45. MIN TD 45 yard pass from McCarthy to Jefferson.  Upon review the play was reversed due to OPI.  1st and 20 at the MIN 45.

The play itself happened - a receiver caught a ball in the endzone and finished the completion - it's the outcome that changed.

As far as I know, there was no ruling, but I'll be fair, I was half-paying attention to the details. I just have an issue with the wording of the penalty/etc.

And this sounds weird, but BALT scares the F out of me if Lamar is healthy, yet I want them to win this game.

Dude, if he's hurt, he's hurt.

At the start of the second half Collinsworth said Derrick Henry (not Lamar) needs to get over it (referring to his first half fumble) get back on the field and lead the team (since Lamar is out hurt).

I swore he mentioned Lamar, and if I am in error, I apologize. Now, even if I got the player wrong, that is a horrible take for an announcer.

DK Metcalf gets 2 games for his encounter with the Detroit fan. This isn’t the first time Metcalf and the same fab have had encounters. Supposedly it happened in Seattle as well. Metcalf claims the fan called him the N-word and his mom the C-word. The fan said all he did was call Metcalf by his name of DeKaylin Zecharius.
Who knows what was actually said… Though if the fan said the words that Metcalf claims, I would think fans that were sitting in the area would’ve heard as well. Metcalf is challenging the suspension. I would almost bet that he will get it dropped to one game.

I’m a little surprised O’Neill didn’t make it and Darrisaw is a shoe in if he didn’t miss so many games. Also some guys like Van Ginkel and Grenard on D who just missed too many games. No chance any pass catcher is going with this QB sitch. We might get a couple guys in between injuries and Super Bowl outs.

DJ Metcalf’s 2 game suspension upheld, voiding $40 million in guarantees. Imagine being such a jackass that you have to sign a contract forcing you to not be a jackass, then knowing it’s in your contract you continue to be a jackass. Seattle knew what they were doing trading him.

That part.

There are 2 conflicting stories, but if what the fan said is true...DK is an idiot. If the other story is true, it's...difficult to blame DK. Lotta money, but hooboy.

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

We won’t know for sure exactly what was said, but the fan’s goal was to piss off DK. He succeeded, but both the player and the fan should not have been in that spot to let it happen.
