Not having Williams hurt them. I get that lots of teams played starters deep into games last week but Williams and Bosa are both injury prone and probably shouldn’t have played much if at all in a meaningless game.

BTW, Jacksonville beat the Chargers earlier this season 38-10 so for 6 of the 8 quarters they played the Jaguars embarrassed the Chargers.

The wild part of that is that the calls were all going LA’s way including the refs letting the LA secondary manhandle JAX receivers the whole game.

Hebert is one of the best young QBs in the league and this one mostly isn’t on him. I will say I don’t know how a 6’6” QB leads the league in balls batted down at the line. He needs to give up that sidearm throw. Staley is a great OC but prolly not the next level HC they need. The LA defense melted down in the second half. Also, the missed short FG that hooked wickedly left at the end was huge.
People constantly give Hebert a free pass. His defensive game him 5 turn overs and he still couldn't win the game. The Chargers kicker made 3 of 4 FGs including a 50 yarder.
2 of the 3 Charger TDs were on drives of 18 yards and 16 yards after the Charger defense forced turn overs to give him an incredibly short field. One of the Chargers FGs was a 1 yard drive (is that even a drive ? ) after another turnover. The Charger defense time and time again gave him a short field to score the points they did.
The Hebert lead Charger offense settled for 4 FG attempts.
With the game on the line on the Chargers last possession they go 3 and out with Hebert taking a sack on first down. Taking a sack on 3rd down is one thing when you need to make a play to get the first down but don't take a sack on 1st down get rid of the ball.
